Those Numbers dont mean a much in this case, felix is not able to do what alcaraz can do with his forehand, to put it simple, to say what you say is like saying gonzalez has equal forehand than federer, just because he has a big forehand doesnt mean he can use it as effectively or do so many things with it, but anyway, just my opinion
Does it really matter if he can’t return serve?

I dont see exactly what you mean, i was talking about the numbers he said, but i dont think many people could return felix serve today, just eveey serve on the line and with lots of pace, and hes been serving like this for some weeks now, scary

Are we talking about Felix or Carlos? There's a ton of aspects to a shot.

By saying Felix is just a better server and "everything else is not close" is cheap. Clearly not the case.

Who said everything else is not close? What you said, is that he is equal or even has a higher potential, and i meant, i dont see a shot besides serve that felix does better than alcaraz or has a higher potential, thats not cheap, is just an opinion, and a formed one, as ive seen a lot of matches from both

Here’s to hoping that’s just his serve now, and it’s not just a patch of good serving.

Maybe it is the way you wrote it...you said "no way" which would indicate not even close.

Whst i meant is that you can clearly see that is not the case watching both players, more "clearly" than "not even close"

Even though Alcaraz has a really annoying fist-pump after winning points, he's good at losing, doesn't seem to get too angry when he's down.

Carlos cant do much while felix serves like that, whst he can, and is gonna do, is be ready to take advantage if felix drops the serve level at least for a game, but is gonna be difficult

Just goes to prove that Charles as good as he is, is NOT the new dominator on the tour. Cilic had him on the ropes, Sinner had him on the ropes, Franklin took him to 5. FAA whooped him twice now.

With that mickey mouse serve, Charlie just can't dominate

Nadal lost some indoors at 19 too right? Would you consider he dominated afterwards? I mean he has the most grand slams, maybe carlos can do ok without a great serve

Yeah I mean Felix has majorly improved his serve since 19, don't think any conclusions on his entire career can be made at this point in time.
Generally what doesn't increase is raw power, so we've seen what he can do from a young age. I still think Felix has more physical upside in terms of height, reach while retaining athleticism (isn't a giraffe).

Ralph at least had the advantage of lefty serve. And even without it, his serve was still better than Charlie's. He's obviously going to win a bunch of majors, but he's not the 15+ GS winner people make him out to be

No, if you take away the leftiness theres no way you could say that serve is better than carlitos

Two things I've noticed:

1) As good as Alcaraz was in Outdoor Hard and Outdoor Clay, he's nowhere near as good on Grass and Indoor Hard
2) Felix is becoming the hottest October player and definitely a dark horse in Paris and Turin.

Medvedev will be a horrible matchup for Felix. But in my book Felix is definately Top 3 favorite in Turin.

He might be too gassed for Paris. In fact I hope he bows out after a match or too. 3 straight weeks in the final, travelling and all that might be a lot right now

I'd still say Ralph's serve is slightly better than Charlie's. And the lefty aspect gives him quite the edge then.
Man, did you see nadals serve at 19? I dont believe you saw, or then you have forgotten

I did and it was a teletubbie serve slightly better than Charlie's mickey mouse serve. But as I said, he always had the edge of the lefty serve. Charlie will never have that. He really has to try to improve that serve Ralph USO 2010 style, when he started to serve 135mph bombs

Carlos can serve a lot faster than nadal, what he has to improve is hitting the spots consistently

He hit a lot of volley winners too. 8/11 net points.
You know why? Because the first serves that were not aces, could only be returned as floaty easy balls to put away, he barely made a true difficult volley in all match

Thought this would be a good test for Alcaraz today, his first opponent who was in proper form on HC since Nadal at Indian Wells

he failed spectacularly

The score line is a severe beatdown for a #1 player, matching the rout Medvedev suffered on grass at Mallorca’22. A #1 receiving a spanking like this is very rare; the Olympics’12 final saw fedr slapped around for the first two sets but he rebounded to make the third set closer vs Murray, 2,1&4.

Any others come to mind?

Watching the Rune-Agut match. I do not think Rune feels 100% physically. He played a lot of games lately. Looks like he wants to go for the winner too early the points and often rushes to the net.
Also his return of serve has been really bad combined with Agut serving very well, high percentage of first serves in.
