About to start stringing!!

Picking up my first stringer on Sunday, Gamma Progression ST II.

I'm wondering what strings I should pick up on the way home.
I want a really cheap reel to practice with, but want pretty good playability from it.

Should these strings get me started??
Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex 16 reel
Gosen OG Micro 16 reel

Does the playability differ in color on the OG-Micro and PSGD?
Which colors look the best?

I think I'm just going to get some OG-Micro for now..
The reviews say that it is a pretty stiff string and that they liked it more paired with other strings.
What should I hybrid this with?? And should I put the OGM in the crosses or mains?

OG Micro full bed unless you want to hybrid it with natural gut or poly.

I have never heard of a case where someone needed to mix the Gosen with something to soften up the stringbed.

Get single set of many low cost strings. When you find a winner, order a reel.

now that you've got a stringer, try Gosen Micro in 17 gauge. sure, it'll break sooner, but hey, you're a stringer now!

i have two reels, white and natural. the white is just a bit stiffer than the natural, just to let you know.

To me, when the standard is *playability* in a standard, all-around synthetic, the best now is Wilson's Extreme Synthetic Gut.

I want a really cheap reel to practice with, but want pretty good playability from it.

Don't buy a whole reel of some junky string. After just a few stringings, you'll know enough to do a decent job, and you don't want to be stuck with most of a reel that you'll never use again. Just buy a couple of individual sets of whatever is the cheapest. String them up for practice, until you're comfortable, cut them out, and then string up what you really want to play with.

I would do that but it's 4$ for a pack of OG-Micro, if I get 4 packs thats already 16$. I might as well spend 15$ more and get a reel where its $1.80 for the same.

+I can string up a bunch of 10$ rackets people around here have.
