I am debating between Adidas Barricade 4 or Asics gel resolution..

I haven't tried them on..Some people told me adidas don't really have good
cushioning, which I am concerend about. I have some tendonities problems on my knees, and want the shoes that would protect my knees the most.

Can anyone comment of these shoes, please?

ps I do put in extra insoles for cushioing..

I have used the Barricades (2's and 3's) without complaints for comfort. They are some really great shoes.
I did test some Asics shoes in the store and from simply "walking around" (no play testing ... :) ) they do seem to offer more cushioning.
I'll probably buy some next (when my barricades and feathers die on me :) ).
I play indoors on carpet and on clay (when outside) and never had problems with my knees...
The surfaces I play on are much easier on the body than hard courts are though ... :-|

I actually just made the switch from B4's to the gel resolutions.

i always liked the 4's, but found them to be a bit heavy and unwieldly at times. they are comfortable and stable for sure.

however, after wearing them recently my knees started killing me, so i figured that the cushioning was probably worn out, and i wanted to switch to the asics after much deliberation.

i can say for sure that the asics
1.) have only a tiny fraction of the break-in time compared to the B4's
2.) are definitely lighter
3.) have a softer and more cushioned feel, so that i barely feel the pounding of the court. my knees feel fine, as do my feet and back
4.) feel just as stable as the B4's

i would honestly try the asics if i were you, i don't think you will be disappointed

I just tried switching to Gel Resolution after foot pains with Barricade 4 and while Gel it offers much better cushioning and its much lighter shoe, sits very low (I like that but some might need more ankle protection), it bothered the crap out of my pinky toe as both shoes had a bump in the inside where my pinky would be. I am returning them as a defect. In the mean time I discovered that Vapors V actually fit my foot much better than vapor 3 I had so I will try those

Wear them on your feet, not your knees.

what you wear on your feet directly affects your knees, and also affects every other part of your body. the stresses applied to the more distal parts of your body are transferred to the more proximal parts of your body. shoes are definitely a huge factor in overall joint health.

I totatly agree with you on this. I just got the ASICS resolution gel and walk around the house with them. They are pretty comfortable.
