Hi guys, I need some advice. I'm looking to get a new set of 5 rackets in a look to keep them for a good few years so I need to make the right choice! I currently have the microgel prestige mp but its worn out.

I'm predominantly a baseline player with spin and power. A forehand and serve player looking for feel/comfort and control.

Which of these rackets would you recommend? I know you will tell me to demo them but in England its not so easy so recommendations would help! thanks :)

Dunlop Biomimetic 300 tour
Dunlop Biomimetic 200 tour

Dunlop aerogel 4D 200 (tour)
Dunlop aerogel 4D 300 tour

Babolat Pure Storm Tour ltd GT (2009)

thanks guys!

If you have strong, enduring shoulder, arm and hands, I recommend Dunlop Biomimetic 200 tour.

If you are relatively less on the above, I recommend Dunlop Biomimetic 300 tour

Go with the aerogel 4D if you don't want to spend as much money and will not develop the urge to get the newer model in a year.

The reason why I have not recommended Pure Storm Tour is because there are several reports of Babolat racquets not lasting that long. Personally I think it's light and hollow.

The 200's are real player's sticks. Not very forgiving, and you really need to be a strong player to get the most out of them. The 300 series spans a strong intermediate to an expert that is modest in strength and power. Unless you're a strong tournament or ex-tournmaent player, I would go with the 300 series. You could always add some weight and put in some polys if you needed the control. I'm not sure of how the aerogel plays vs. the biometric. They are probably fairly similar. Hope this helps.

What, specifically, is wrong with what you're using right now? What would you like to change about it? What would you like to keep?

There are a ton of companies that offer demo programmes by post, ranging from local places to well known tennis retailers. Try PDH Sports for a start if you want to demo.

If you know what you like just stick with it. You can easily find some used or even new MG PMP's out there. You can probably get 5 used MG's in great condition for the price of 3 new sticks, especially in Europe.

Remember, when looking for used Head racquets, keep in mind that the pallets can be changed so don't bother looking for your exact grip size.

Anyway, my 0.2c's

I demo'ed the bio 300 tour and the 4d 200 non-tour just recently and liked the 200 better. I was able to find the sweet spot easier and more consistently on the 200 and also found the 200 more stable on off-center hits. The 200 has the same string pattern at the bio 300 tour and is on sale right now for $99. I would suggest giving it a test if you're considering the bio 300 tour.
