Advice stringing Wilson Six One 95s

Hello, i have a question for stringing this spin racket.

Wilson Six One 95s:
Mains - 18
Crosses - 16

Inside frame before stringing:
Length - 32,0 cm (12,6 inch)
Width - 23,6 cm (9,3 inch)
String - Wilson Ripspin 1.30 (16)

I always string one piece, around the world with 2 knots.

When i follow the tension adviser the crosses should be 6 kg (13,2 lbs) tighter than the mains. Seems logic because this racket has less crosses.

Now i have 3 comments:
1) 6 kg (13,2 lbs) difference seems much, I would never go further than 2 kg (4,4 lbs) between mains and crosses. How far can i go?
2) When you tension the crosses harder are you not going to undo the spin function? The mains are going to move less?
3) How far may a racket deform? Is 3 mm (0,1 inch) or 4 mm (0,2 inch) allowed?

I did a test but the result was strange:
Test 1) M: 24 kg (52,9 lbs) C: 24 kg (52,9 lbs)
Frame after stringing L:31,8 cm (12,5 inch) cm W: 24,0 cm (9,4 inch)

Test 2) M: 22 kg (48,5 lbs) C: 24 kg (52,9 lbs)
Frame after stringing L:31,7 (12,4 inch) cm W: 24,0 cm (9,4 inch)

Test 3) M: 24 kg (52,9 lbs) C: 22 kg (48,5 lbs)
Frame after stringing L: 31,7 (12,4 inch) cm W: 24,1 cm (9,5 inch)

Test 4) M: 20 kg (44,1 lbs) C: 24 kg (52,9 lbs)
Frame after stringing L:31,7 (12,5 inch) W: 23,9 (9,3 inch)

Test 5) M: 20kg (44,1 lbs) C: 26 kg (57,3 lbs)
Frame after stringing L:31,8 cm (12,5 inch) cm W: 24,0 cm (9,4 inch) = NO DIFFERENCE AS SAME TENSION M & C!

Someone has tension advice for stringing this type of racket. Or are here people playing with it?

I think with todays racket frames you can't go wrong with stringing main and crosses on the same tension.

I play with this racquet but I do not know how useful my advice will be to you, as I string two piece almost exclusively, rarely use an ATW pattern and have never used a string tension advisor. I have found that I like this racquet strung in the upper forty pound to low fifty pound range and do not generally ever vary the tension between the mains and crosses by more than four to five pounds. You could probably vary the tension safely by as much as 8 to 10 lbs but I do not think it will offer many advantages as there is a lot of friction already on the cross strings from coming into contact with 18 mains. I also think that this racquet plays better with thinner gauge mains because it has 18 of them. So I have tried using 1.20 and 1.25 mains with 1.30 crosses and I think it is a better set up for me at this point.

I also suspect that the tennis string advisor you are using may have been designed with more traditional string patterns in mind so while it is following its original logic on what the tension difference should be, it is not necessarily the best solution for this string pattern.

I hope you took the time to go out and hit with your 95S each time after stringing it because that should have given you the most personal feedback and advice on how to proceed.

Thx guys. More tension advice is welcome. PGlock wat tension are you using at the moment?

I am currently using Solinco TB 17 at 49 lbs in the mains and Volkl Syn Gut at 53 lbs in the crosses. This has allowed me to take full swings at the ball with good control.

I've strung a couple of these for customers.

One was using tour bite in the mains with gamma glide in the crosses. 45/49 lbs

Another was using ALU rough mains 45 / POSG 50

So you guys are going for tighter mains (+ 4 lbs). When i use this setup my frame is still a little bit wider then before stringing.

Yes, the only thing I do is add 4 kg/8 lbs to the tie off pulls.

Same here. I only use 2 kg for the knots. The 95s plays great with this tension.

Why would you string the crosses tighter? All it does is lock the mains in place which is the exact opposite of what you want with an S racket. If anything, drop the tension on the crosses to get even more snapback...

I think they are stringing the crosses tighter for less racket deformation.

Why does racket deformation even matter though? In general you should be stringing for the most playable bed, and stringing the crosses that much tight obviously isn't the most efficient way to create a playable bed.

I've been stringing and playing for years and honestly have never even thought once about racket deformation when helping a customer choose a string or tension in their frame.

What is the standard string job most of your customers ask? Same tension on main and crosses or are people doing extreme differences on main and crosses?

Most of my customers request the same tension across the board. If there is a difference it usually seems to be at least in part due to the job being a hybrid of 2 different types of strings. I rarely see anyone request more than 6 pounds or so difference between mains and crosses. Once and a while, I see someone request all the same string but 1-2 pounds tighter or looser in the crosses.

Same tension across the board on all frames except Yonex and Volkl. (Those two brands usually drop the crosses by a pound or two.) That being said I only have a handful of customers on yonex and two on volkl. I haven't ever strung a frame for a customer with a higher difference than 3lbs between mains and crosses, and the crosses have never been higher.
