Some of you are already familiar with her. The Prestige Classic 600. I've tried alot of racquets over my teaching/college career. I've gone thru Prince, Yonex, Wilson (briefly) and yes even a Donnay. However, in my mid- 20's I settled in with the HEAD prestige line. Solid racquets....since then I've followed the evolution of the line. Intelligence and LiquidMetal onto the Flexpoints. I had long given away my old 600's but recently my local tennis gear shop got a shipment of these racquets restocked.

Hesistantly, I bought one, I don't know, I think I was feeling naustalgic. I swear, I put some 18 gauge in there and when out to try it with some hard-hitting juniors. I swear this racquet felt so good it felt like an old glove. I've forgotten the almost soft feeling of just pure graphite that almost wraps around the ball. Feel was incredible, Control and predictability. All there. ACtually more so then the newer line of prestiges I play with.

I began to think why the heck did I ever switch. Intelligence Fibers? Space Age liquid metal found in Tank Shells? Who the heck needs it. I've fell in the old marketting ploy that convinced me that I needed more from my racquet. I felt rather silly.

So you out there, who still covet there old 600's, your prostaffs 6.0's & Classics and your Prince Original Graphites, I salute you.

Sometimes they do get it right, the 1st time.

Awwww. :D

If you don't want your "old" Flexpoints or LiquidMetals, I guess I can take them off your hands.

Agreed, I got use to the new 5% uranium spliced with krypton raquets they put out now a days. I too purchased a PC, everytime I play with it it feels better and better, they had it down in the 80's, pure graphite raquets are nothing but love.
