Alpha revo 4000

That's a really good choice for personal use, low volume stringing. The Gamma X-ST is similar and also a very good machine. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those. Not sure where you are located, but those machines are in the $700 range in the US. At that price point, I don't think you'll find a better alternative for a fixed clamp, crank machine unless you go for a used machine like a Prince NEOS. I believe Pro's Pro makes a relatively low price fixed clamp, crank machine but I've never seen one in person and can't comment on the quality.

Thanks for the quick answer! I live in Europe. Do you have any experience with the website alibaba.com where I found this machine?

Alibaba.com is B2B wholesale.

If you are in UK (you linked a UK site in another thread so I assume you are) take a look on the bay of e, there is a Gamma X-ST currently listed in Worcester.

Also worth keeping an eye on chewing gum tree, things sometimes pop up on there.

When I have been looking in the past practically all private sellers have been reluctant to ship, so be prepared for some travel (if you can).

I've had an alpha revo for the past 7 years. I've strung so many rackets I can't even count. Great machine, still going strong. I built a little cart to make it more mobile.

+1
I've had my revo for several years and haven't had any problems with it. Clean and tune it up every few months and it'll last forever. I got mine locally on craigslist for $300.

I got mine brand new directly from alpha here in the US. To be honest I wish I got it one used on craigslist. I was young and impatient.

I have not made any purchases through Alibaba. As indicated by another poster, it's a B2B wholesale marketplace. Last I researched, there was an overwhelming volume of negative feedback associated the site. Didn't seem worth the risk to me.
