The Demon Slayer movie is destroying a lot of records over in Japan from what I've heard. Can't wait to see that in all it's glory.I know i'm late here although since I was a kid I watched only Japanese anime, I remember clearly Urusei Yatsura ( Lam ) Dash Kappey LoL and so many others with robots like Gundam, Daitan 3 and so on with Cyborbs heros. I watched them all in the 80s also because that's what we got in Italy back then.
Then I stopped watching them til for some reason they started showing Inuyasha I believe in the late 2000 then Neon Genesis Evangalion, then I quit watching them again.
Two weeks ago I was watching the PBS new but the Japanise ones I don't know why and they were talking about the Demon Slayer anime. I thought it was pretty cool and I started watching it and got hooked up for good.
Now i'm also watching Tokyo Ghoul which I thought it was ok in the beginning but it's actually really well done. This new anime are so much better than the old ones!!!!!!
Yes is it really breaking records there! I believe the first season is already over so now I have to find something else to watch. I will take a look at those you posted above. The Demon Slayer movie is destroying a lot of records over in Japan from what I've heard. Can't wait to see that in all it's glory.
I remember cowboy bebop! If my memory does not fail me it's from the 90's....I watched a few episodes of it! it was nice but I did not have time back then for TVI think it's time we blow this scene

I watch pretty much solely in Japanese with subsYes is it really breaking records there! I believe the first season is already over so now I have to find something else to watch. I will take a look at those you posted above.
Do you and other here like to watch them in the original language with subtitles or in English? I prefer it in Japanese with subs.
So do I, but sometimes it is kind of annoying when they shout or yell...it's like a minute of shouting on top of their lungs lol. I wonder if in real life if it's the same.I watch pretty much solely in Japanese with subs
Domestic girlfriend That one's quite an experienceSome of my favourites
(Too bad the show is cringe and trashy though)
Would you suggest it to be watched by a guy? I watched the opening and i'm not sure if it's the kind of anime i would watch but i guess i can see the first episode.Domestic girlfriend That one's quite an experience
I actually just finished the final Aria season and it's on par with the 2nd, thanks to those final few episodes. Very bittersweet and emotional, what a series.I'm watching Aria the Origination (on EP 8), regarded as the best Aria season by a lot of people. I think I prefer the 2nd season, Aria the Natural. I personally loved the added eerie and mysterious atmosphere they produced in some episodes.
I agree about AOT season 4 as well, despite everyone talking it up throught it's airing. IMO, it's weakest season so far.
I could never get into Attack on Titan. I think maybe it was because my brother hyped it up too much...I also just really hated all of the characters.AoT Season 4 (part 1) was good but somewhat disappointing. The pacing is problematic and the storytelling is often so clunky and dull. But it hits some great heights and has some great moments.
But it pales poorly in comparison to season 1 of Vinland Saga. Episode 24 (the finale) is the best shizzle I've seen since watching episodes 62 and 63 of FMA: Brotherhood, an anime I watched again in its entirety recently.
Everything AoT constantly fails to do, Vinland Saga nails.
Guess I'll now remind myself whether Code Geass is any good or not before trying out Demon Slayer.
Use to love Attack on Titan, but I couldn't finish it. Animation and story went downhill. I decided to read the manga just to see what happens and was very disappointed, but probably glad in hindsight as I won't be wasting time waiting for it to finish as I don't see myself ever completing it.I'm watching Aria the Origination (on EP 8), regarded as the best Aria season by a lot of people. Agreed on attack on Titan. Little bit slow. Demon slayer is awesome. Episode 19 is earth shattering. Also 16/17/18/19/20/21. If youve seen them you’ll know what I mean.

Yeah I knowThere is currently a ****storm over the ending of AoT. Many fans are pissed and are basically demoting its 'masterpiece' status. A lot of long-time fans have turned on the series.
Yeah, a lot of them just don't seem to pair well together, probably sounds strange or out of place, because we listen to English every day. Someone screaming or raging in dub can make me cringe, unlike maybe subbed.I wonder why most dubs are so outrageously bad. The AoT dub is embarrassing for the most part, though there are moments where I find it better, such as...the Owl reveal scene, and how epic it is when Eren Kruger states: "Because I'm the Owl, Grisha." But the writing is a bit different, as in the English dub they make Grisha appear like an idiot, which is not the case in the original in which he clocks on to the Owl before the Owl actually reveals himself in words.
FMA Brotherhood remains the only anime I've seen where the dub is on the level of the sub. Some characters sound worse, some sound better. King Bradley sounds infinitely better in the dub.
Yeah the dub is really a mixed bag. The first episode of AOT is a good example of this. The entirety of the episode is having to tolerate Eren's annoying voice, but then,I wonder why most dubs are so outrageously bad. Made in Abyss and Shinsekai Yori, two of my favourites.Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn was certainly a good watch. The writing and the action was pretty gripping and the animation is of very high quality with a healthy dose of sakuga.
It takes place in the Universal Century timeline of the Gundam story, which is by far the most explored timeline. Still, one doesn't need to have seen other shows of the timeline to enjoy this 7-episode OVA. Episodes are 50+ with the finale being about 90 minutes.
The English dub is definitely serviceable and one of the better ones. The story is tricky to follow and between all the action is a lot of heavy and political dialogue - but I never found it boring. There is a lot going on, though. If you're familiar with Mobile Suit Gundam in general then you'll know the drill: War, conflict, politics between the space colonies and the Earth (Spacenoids and Earthnoids), ace pilots, new radical technologies, destruction, despair, hope, and the awesome displays of Gundam power. I've not seen that many of the Gundam shows but this is the best I've seen so far. Also, it's on Netflix (in some regions).
Verdict: 8/10
@The Green Mile @ADuck --- Any recommendations? I checked out @Sephiroth 's recommendation of Vinland Saga and was not left disappointed. It has one of the best single episodes of anime I've ever seen.

Yeah, it's rated quite high. Do you know or have heard anything about either series?Made in Abyss seems super highly regarded so I'll probably check it out next.

Well, I think it's better going into both series pretty blindNah I know nothing about them other than the short MyAnimeList synopses which I checked after reading your recommendations.
When I get the time I'll check those out. How many have you watched btw? I've actually only watched a few anime so I don't know if I'm the best person to ask but the ones I most enjoyed were:Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn was certainly a good watch. - Hunter x Hunter
- Attack On Titan
- Death Note
- Haikyuu
Anime is generally like any other entertainment medium though, everyone got different tastes and what I like you may not like, and vice versa.
Haikyuu just gets better an better imo.I'm on episode 17 of Haikyuu as we speak. It's really good. You may also like Kuroko no Basuke, in that case.
Of course, we all have our own tastes. Still, by asking others for their picks it helps me find some new stuff, some of which I'll enjoy.
I know HxH is revered. Quite an investment though at 148 episodes. We'll see.

I have good taste that's why
Now go watch Monster you will see one of the GOAT villains ever created.
Urasawa is the GOAT mangaka anyway. It's a crime 20th Century Boys hasn't been animated
In fact, watch/read all of Urasawa's work. You won't be disappointed.
I've watched Monster. It's a great one.
Thinking of watching Mob Psycho 100 having just finished OPM, which was sick.
About subverting expectations though... my expectations weren't subverted in AoT. Can't say I cared for how it ended though in any case.
Got a few shows on the list to watch now, including a couple ongoing, so I'll let you know when I get around to more of Urasawa's work.
I'm talking about the AoT manga, not the anime.
The manga is 100% finished
the anime isn't. It's final season airs next year.
re-watching Code Geass
just how good is that ep when Lelouch loses control of his Geass and jokes to Euphemia to kill the Japanese? THEN SHE STARTS SHOOTING HERSELF? fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
after all these years it's still a heartracing moment
@-NN-
when I was a dumb teen I used to think Death Note > Code Geass. It's not even close, Lelouch >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kira. As I matured I noticed how overrated Light was. Truly.
Code Geass >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DN
Pizza butt was always hotter than Shirley, that opinion still standsMy boy LELOUCH had all them baddies wet
Except for Nina. Though she DOES get wet.
Big fan of tables.
