another "toss" question

I can't seem to get my toss high enough. After watching video of myself, and how low my toss is on serve, I went out today to serve and work on tossing higher. However, every time I send a toss up, it feels like an alarm goes off in my head reminding me not to toss too high or it will throw off my timing. The result is my timing is even worse, I can't get a flat serve in the box, and I have a sore shoulder when I'm done. Any advice on getting past this mental block??

yeah...patience! It won't be easy to change any of your movements after you are used to it for so long. The sore shoulder is just a different movement than yu are used to do and/or a force trying to do the "tipical" movement when you should instead slightly change that, too, perhaps.

As for a bad timing...just keep on practicing...you need to mentally give up your old habits about serve.

I am telling this since I have just your same problems and I am trying to reshape my serve and forehand a little.
