Any Musicians out there?!

Hey guys.

I like to think of myself as a "striving" musician. I think it'd be really cool to make a career out of it some how (rather than the typical BA in Business I'm working towards...).

Anyway, I thought if any of you have any videos to share we could do it here so we could all see some other tennis playing rockers :).

I'm a big Tim Burton fan, so I decided to do a song of one of my favorite film's of his, "Edward Scissorhands".

How about you guys?

The hardest thing about learning the guitar is just finding that natural rhythm and, generally speaking, barre chords.

Cool to see you wrote a song though.

After a 23 year hiatius from playing nightclubs throughout So. Cal., I was asked to play for a local teen sensation, Carlie Wall. Here is a picture of us at the famous Tuacahn Amphetheater in Southern Utah.

Listen to one of the songs Carlie wrote. You can see me at the end of the clip!

I did play a little bass before... I'm just trying to get hold of a cheap keytar as me and my sister has kind of entered a Modern Talking-phase...

Hey bud!

I've been a musician for almost a decade now, bass is my main interest but I dabble in guitar and I do vocals for a few hardcore bands. :) It's probably a bit different compared to what most are into but I've done it for a while haha!

This is the ending of the set for my noise-grind band. It's a very poor quality recording but it's something to see. I play bass in the video.

Here's another video of me doing vocals with a pretty big local band. I fill in for them every time I can!

I start at around 1:50. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea but I figure someone might be interested!

I don't currently play any instruments with the degree of ability that some folks here posses, but I do dabble with piano here and there, as I'm in the process of re-learning the ins and outs of the scale and a whole lot of theory. Pretty nifty stuff.

I grew up playing the Alto Sax, though. That was fun.

I also am teaching myself to write and produce electronic dance music, which is quite fun as well once I figured out how to work the programs I use.

Nicely done! What programs are you using? I've used Logic and Reason for a few years now which works great for me. Garage Band is actually a fantastic program as well in that situation!

i'm currently serving as the lead guitarist in a contemporary Christian band. i've also got a protools 8 home studio. i completed some background music for an android app and i'm currently writing material for 2 different albums in addition to working on new stuff with the Christian band; however, since i'm also a stay at home dad, i can only lay down tracks when the baby is sleeping and then only by going direct to board using headphones.

we're playing a fair next weekend. maybe i'll get back on here and post a pic.

I'm primarily a drummer, but also play a little guitar (not very well). I write a little too, but often struggle putting words to music. Here's a pic of me at a local guitar circle. I'm the one on the middle in the white/orange shirt.

I play guitar.. have a love of Les Pauls.. custom.
Fat rock sound.
Fav guitar heroes are Ritchie Blackmore , Nils Lofgren and Rory Gallagher ( all Strats guys though..)

I studied classical voice and opera performance for three years in college, but transferred over to the business school and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

I love to sing, still do, but I didn't want to struggle for my entire life, go to school for 5 years after undergrad, and ultimately have to move overseas or seriously complicate my life only to make a living.

I miss performing sometimes, but I have a great job and make enough money to sing when I want to for fun, rather than sing all the time just to scrape by.

Why was the long haired dude on his knees the entire time?

"I" as in eye exam was pretty funny :)

LOL I wish I could tell you! The dudes a total space cadet hahaha!

No one knew what he was going to say as he was spelling it out, and he changes it every show. Usually he does something silly LOL!
