Is there any news on the new version of the prince rebel 95? Specs including flex and SW (I know its static weight will be slightly lighter with 325 grams).
And when will it be for sale?
Thanks!

Weight 325g
Headsize 95 sq.in.
String 18x20
Balance 31cm
27 in length

And even though it's an 18 x 20 it's a more "open" 18 x 20. I did find a bit more spin than the current Rebel 95 which I use.

So it seems the new Reb has lost a significant amount of heft. How is the feel compared to the old one? Does it seem more lively and responsive? I'm incredibly interested in the new one.

Seems very interesting. How would you estimate the stability and SW compared to the old one? I thought that were good aspects of the old one..

I saw the 98 at my local pro shop today, really didn't like it. Had a head shape like an oval, reminded me of some of those tweener wilson frames. Hoping the 95 is better. But I do get to take the new Wilson six one tour 95 out next week when they get it, can't wait!

I love it - I use the current Rebel but the 2012 version (now with a swing weight of 300) is more head-heavy than the current model. The shifting of the weight made a big difference in spin and it feels even more solid. Sill a smooth feeling stick but the new specs make it just even better and very very stable. I had no issues with torque and for sure not a stick that will get pushed around. I strung it with Alu Power spin 17g in the mains and excel 17g in the crosses and it was awesome.

where could you get the new rebel already?

See, I thought the current Rebel was spot on in terms of specs. The weight, balance, head size, beam width, everything was great. What killed that frame for me was the overall deadness that it had. I just couldn't get a good feel for the ball off the bed.

It looks like with the new one it would be open for customization since they knocked about 25g off the weight. That would be fine for me because then I could get it set up just how I like in terms of weight and SW.

How is the feel on the new one? Does it still have the trademarked prince deadness or has this one gotten a more lively feel to it?

I think the weight went down only 5 grams (325 is unstrung)

Same quiet or dead feel. With the right string set up you should be able to get what you want. I restring my sticks just about twice a week - I love the Alu Pwr Spin and gut or high end miluti at 17 or 18g.

That's disappointing. I was really hoping that this version would would have gotten rid of some of that deadness. I've been using mid tension full poly and that didn't even make the frame crisper. Now, I'm not so sure that it will be worth the demo time.

Try uploading them to one of those free picture hosting websites, like photobucket.com. From there you should be able to link them using image tags. If you don't know the exact URL for the picture, open the picture in it's own window by clicking on it, then go to properties and you should see a URL ending in .jpg.
