I bought it. It is good. It tends toward the theoretical side. It explains why some things work and some don't.
When I actually wanted to burn fat, I bought a step-by-step guide put together by Alwyn Cosgrove called "Afterburn". This isn't rocket science. Just HIIT training, strength training, and nutrition. It is all laid out step-for-step. No thinking necessary.
I could have done without Venuto's book (as the subject matter doesn't interest me - just the results). But, it is informative and uses "down to earth" language.
