Anybody try TRU PRO (TierOne) GripnRip Overgrips?

I got a promo code in my email. I usually use Wilson Pro Overgrip. I have used Tourna Grip original and hated it. Can anyone give a review?

How do these compare to the new Tourna Tuff in terms of longevity?
Since we did not test the two overgrips side by side, we cannot answer the question. I can say, though, that players who usually play with Tourna Grip Original thought that the GRIPnRIP overgrips performed very similarly.

Thanks! My gripe with Tournagrip is that it lasts only about a set for me. Does Grip rip last longer?

I use Tourna Tuff now for that reason.

GripnRip definitely lasts longer than regular Tourna (I have not tried Tourna Tuff). I get a set out of Tourna this time of year, but have 3 sets on GripnRip and can still use it for practice. It’s a little bit tackier than regular tourna when fresh - although that’s not really the right word. I like the feel better regardless when dry and fresh. as it absorbs sweat, it feels closer.

I’m a fan. My new summer overgrip. Florida heat is painful and there are very few options until things cool back down into the 80’s in a few months.

How does the thickness compare to Tourna? They both say 0.6 but i have always found Tourna to play quite thin and prefer that. Did you notice any difference @tim-ay?

My ‘go to’ is Wilson Pro and I usually use Tourna in August-Sept. I didn’t really notice a thickness difference with gripnrip, but I did pull it pretty tight with very little overlap.

I’ll have to put tourna on a frame during my next hit and compare them side by side. I’ll update here afterwards.

Thanks. Look forward to your feedback. My "go to" is Solinco Heaven vs Tourna due to durability and price point but i have to stretch it or it plays a touch thick which isn't a huge deal given they last so long.

I am going to try a 30 pack of these just to see. When you move them to your cart however, they add $3 vs the advertised price when on the selection page which i find odd and misleading. @TRU PRO Official

If you do not see a price of $34.95 for a 30-pack of GripnRip overgrips on our website, please let us know (if you purchase in California, the system will add CA sales taxes to the purchase).

@TRU PRO Official When you select the 30 pack it shows 31.46 in the selection drop down box. Cart shows 34.95 when added and the top of the page price changes to 34.95 as well.

This is when you first enter the GripNRip and no selections are made yet for a single (default) or a 30. The price next to the 30 pack in the selection box - 31.46.

I do not have a problem with the pricing just the discrepancy between selection price and the actual price needs to be corrected.

Sorry for the confusion! When you select 1 overgrip it is $3.49. When you change the selection from 1 overgrip to a 30-pack it says +31.46! Therefore, once you select the 30-pack, it will update the price to $34.95. Since we grouped 1 overgrip and a 30-pack in our system, this is how it displays the upgrade from 1 overgrip to a 30-pack. Again, our apologies if this caused any confusion!

GripNRip seems thicker to me than Tourna, it's like a standard overgrip with a little cushion, whereas Tourna is very thin, paper like. I have not tried Tourna Tuff yet so comparing to the standard Tourna Grip. I could get away with tourna over an overgrip without noticing much of a difference, but when trying that with GripNRip it made my handle too thick. So, I just use this as an overgrip and it EXCELLENT. I ended up putting them on all my frames. It has a nice moderate cushion feel and is very absorbant (but not as dry feeling as Tourna). I've seen no signs of wear after several hours of intense use. This is really the perfect overgrip for me.

Thanks for that. They are both listed at 0.6 but how they are applied and actual playing thickness i have found varies with any overgrip. Good to know and glad you like these. I will be trying some as well.
