Just curious. I heard there was 16000 applications just wondering if anyone on here were lucky enough
No wonder I wasn't picked I'm only a 1.5 player. Why would one want to put a cap on the butt? Don't caps go on top? They were looking for that 2.0-3.0 weekend hacker that just loves the game but would not know a cap grommet from a butt cap.

Shame on Babolat. THEY OWE YOU!As a guy who's consistently used Babolat for 15 years and has had many friends switch to Babolat trying my frames, I'm kinda pissed I didn't get picked.
Bet you the folks that were picked are NOT the type of folks you will find on these boards........Babs has TONS of "high end" testers (pros, techs, teaching pros...etc).

LOL. I even applied. Got my rejection notice too. I thought I might at least get a set of free natty gut string. I wonder how many top 100 pros got picked or tennis academy icons.

babs missed out with me, i would have been a fantastic ambassador for the new "babolat pure mid." i would be decked out in babolat gear as i got drunk on court, screamed obscenities, and then smashed the racquet.

I was joking buddy, I guess it really doesn't come across well in text haha. Should have put a lol or smiley at the end.

I was wondering this as well. Do you get to fly places and promote the product to the masses? Is there immunity offered if you have to defend yourself against Prince or Head loyalists? Are there any "perks" to being an ambassador for Babolat? What are the explicit/implicit responsibilities given to those selected by Babolat to become an Ambassador?

I'm wondering about the efficacy of this marketing strategy. There are 25 happy ambassadors and 15,975 folks who might feel just a tiny bit let down. Twice a year or so I buy a $2.00 lottery ticket and have yet to win the big prize - I wasn't expecting to be selected by Babolat. If I were picking only 25 "ambassadors" I would be picking them from areas where there is growth potential for the business. Asia comes to mind, not NW
I dont think bab needs any help with marketing. Theres a reason they sell more racquets then anyone else. Great marketing. They give so much stuff away and that creates sales. They know what they are doing. Only 25 people get picked but im sure they are all over the world and for all the people that see those people using bab thats just walking billboards. Not even counting the people that got picked that will prob atleast buy something babolat.. i think its a great marketing campaign and i didnt even get picked. Look at all the people talking about it too. Thats more marketing so its clearly working or they wouldnt be doing it again..

Your welcome.. haha im sure u were hated for that email but think of how loved you are by the ones that were selected! I didnt know it was US only. Keep up the awesome promotions! You guys are great. Theres always some kind of promotion going on. I cant tell you how many times i checked my email looking to see if i was selected. Then i found out my app never went through some how. Haha. Just my luck.. im in the build your bag sweepstakes so maybe ill get selected for that. anyways keep up the great work over there and the great products.Ambassadors will receive free products as well as have the opportunity to test certain products and in return, they will give us both private and public feedback and serve as brand representatives.
I appreciate the kind words regarding the program. Of course, whenever you have 16,000 applications and only 25 spots, there are bound to be more upset people than not. I'm quite sure that in the 2 mins that it took to send and receive that e-mail, I became the most hated person of a portion of the 15,000 not selected.
Also, I wanted to clarify that the program is currently only in the US. We hope that one day we can expand globally, but that is for the future.

I was rejected also, but I was glad to get the chance. I think Babolat is really being cutting edge with this approach and in the end it should be a big help to them and us as players.
Thanks, @Mcmullenp4 ! For every angry e-mail and negative comment, there's a kind and thoughtful person that gives us energy to slog through it all. Sorry again about your application. To be safe, be sure to check in at the next application period!

If I remember correctly, when Babolat first started making rackets they had reps at most all of the tournaments that had juniors and college players and they were giving rackets away hand over fist. What better way to get young players using your products than to give it to them....!Givingstuff away is marketing 101. I am a project manager for an insulation company and every time i meet with clients i brinf hats shirts jackets hoodies whatever i can with our logo on them. Works great
still trübabs missed out with me, i would have been a fantastic ambassador for the new "babolat pure mid." i would be decked out in babolat gear as i got drunk on court, screamed obscenities, and then smashed the racquet.
