Got the email and unfortunate that you have to close down Black Bear Tennis @drummerdan - best of luck to you in whatever you decide to pursue in life.

Saw that email as well.

I appreciate your passion that you put into this lifestyle. Wishing you well on your next adventure. @drummerdan

Oh, that is sad. I haven’t even tried bear claw yet and have a pack.

Nope. I'm still running! Look for new things in 2019!

The store is still up and will stay up! Also looking for player sponsorships as well as partners (stringers, pros, teachers, etc).

Tried Bear Claw for around 15 mins and it was comfy, responsive and the feel was good. I didn’t want to try a setup i’m not familiar with in a USTA match. I’ll devote more time to hitting with it tomorrow.

what tension and racquet did you use it in?

I've used it im quite a few different racquets and its comfy and responsive in all from a wide range of tensions

good to know, ive strung it as low.as 51 and as high.as 57.

i just strung my dads blade 104 with t nxt 17g/bear claw combo at 60/44 and he said the claw was fantastic.

prior to that he was using nxt/isospeed cream 17/16g

Not closing down. As a matter of fact, look for the new Black Bear Tennis Official thread coming soon!

Suggestion:
When the Black Bear Tennis Official account/thread becomes operational I think it would help to note all TT members with a direct interest in the company (and to keep that list updated). Thank you.

Hit with bear claw this morning for a couple of hours. Nice string that has an elastic soft feel to it and does provide some very good spin. It hits with good consistency and had no trouble at all adapting on serve. The elastic nature does give it some spring so it does have some pop for a poly but control is still good.

Excellent! This is exactly what we wanted for this first string in our lineup.
