anyone try the new Avery racquet?

Was wondering if anyone has tried the Avery M3 racquet. A heavy (13oz), stiff (72), smallish head-size (95) racquet that sounds interesting. This spec is closest to the Wilson 6.1 Prostaff classic, though the Avery is slightly more head-heavy balanced (but still head-light), and also similar to the Babolat Pure Control 2001.

Demo impossible

Tom Avery should implement some type of demo program. TW does it! The racquet certainly sounds like a throw back, but after being burned by racquets I haven't tried--I will not purchase a racquet without playing with it first.

Yes, my opinion is that this frame will have a very high swingweight and also hurt the arm. In that sense it reminds me of the HyperCarbon 5.0, even though that was lighter. If this frame is 13 and less headlight than the 6.1, you're probably looking at...360 or more in swingweight without any tampering (lead, etc.).

Never mind...I found it myself, and see it is one in the same. I like all the numbers except for the stiffness, I prefer something in the mid 60s. Tom Avery really needs to have a demo program and perhaps a few more pictures of the racquet on his web site. At $180 (and over $200 after adding strings) it is steep for a racquet we know little about. There is no mention of who produces it and so I would be concerned with quality control issues. But all said, it does look interesting.

Specs are not quite as published:

Weight: 370gm (13oz) string with 16g (that's as per spec)
Balance: even (as opposed to 8pt headlight)
Head Size: more like 100 sq in (as opposed to 95 -- pretty much
the same head size as my PK 5G)

Elliptical beam and otherwise decently finished. Plays quite nicely.

Sounds like a PK 5g PSE without the kinetic system and maybe a little extra weight in the head.
