Have any players commented on the conditions ?

Fast. Federer has this in the bag.
Will Djokovic make it to the QF?I doubt that.
Will Djokovic make it to the QF?
Nobody here actually knows what they are talking about in terms of court speed and playability. .
That's why we rely on what commentators who have played on it have said:
Gilbert: medium fast, dead Dunlop balls
J-Mac: "sort of" fast on RLA, "slower" on outer courts, no comment on Dunlop balls
Cahill: medium quick, conditions much slower in hotter weather, fluffy balls
P-McEnroe: same as last year, balls can get dead after 3-4 games

If someone claims RLA is "very fast," post a link to the source who has played on the court.
sounds like the commentators don't think its faster than last year, maybe even slower because of the "dead" balls
that makes Rafael's serving all the more impressive, his 1st Serve averaged 119mph.
Federer's 1st serve averaged 120mph.
Roger's serve is considered one of the greatest ever and un-returnable.
It was AWOL cause he didn't have accuracy due to lower back spasms like me. Even at ATP level ,, 120 MPH serve with accuracy in the corner lline with disguise is ACE or Unreturnable. that is the point. It's not considered one of the greatest-ever serves and his ace count is usually fairly modest. It's also not "unreturnable," unless he's playing on the WTA. His serve last year from July-November was absolutely AWOL and pathetic.
Both Ebden and Nadal said it's slow this time. According to Feder it's slower than Hopman and "ball doesn't move at night."
Slow courts?
Thanks NADAL!
If anything slow courts gonna favour Djokovic and he's unbeatable on such courts.

Well may be i was overexcited after knowing speed of the court but he's undefeated against Nadal and Federer on plexicushion. Also danger man Stan the man is out and all the remaining players till are finals are mugs so i'm super confident about Nole lifting 2019 AO open trophy. i also feel this year he will beat Nadal on clay and complete cygs.No one's unbeatable my man. Those conditions on hardcourt are certainly where he is strongest though.
as long as Djokovic doesn't have to play Rafael, he should win every slam.Well may be i was overexcited after knowing speed of the court but he's undefeated against Nadal and Federer on plexicushion. Incorrect.
as long as Djokovic doesn't have to play Rafael, he should win every slam.
but we saw what happened last year, he played Rafael and almost lost Wimbledon, and he didn't play Rafael at the US Open so won easily

That's what happens when you serve 220+ and Kyrgios is returning. Kyrgios' serve wasn't effective at all.I'd say Gilbert's assessment sounds on the money to me. I dont think its as fast as when Mischa Zverev made the quarters in 2017, but Raonic seemed to be getting a fair bit of bang for his buck on RLA......
