4th set was much closer than the result shows. Great fight, and nice to see Markos back, we can never have too many good players.

a lot closer, indeed ! :?

yup, it is about time to come back.

40. lose the match
41. travel back in time
are you kidding ???

well... marcos was not so far, one more time.
but let's be positive, it's not so bad for a comeback slam ! :)

djoko was more consistent during the whole match, played the important points better...
now he will meet again his good old friend roddick in the QF ! ;)

BTW, what do you think of the crowd? They were chanting and cheering like mad, with some whistling when the other guy got the point, but generally they were respectful during the playing.

I guess for these two emotional guys it was a good environment to thrive in and take strength, so I am ok with it, but perhaps this could unsettle other kind of players.

Crowd was cool and exciting. As Novak said it was all within the fair play. They were chanting between the points all the times, but there was no heckling of the players, no noise during the points or screaming during services.

It was similar during the Gasquet - Gonzales match as well.

i'm starting to wonder where novak's family is. last year during the AO they made their presence known, and now their absent.

He's growing up according to the announcers, left them behind. It's a good move, except if I were in his position I would have brought my brothers. :) Who knows the whole family might show up for the finals.

true, maybe a good move. but the intensity they brought to the tournament definitely motivated novak and fired him up.

I didn't see the match, so don't understand the 1 - 6 start, but a win is a win, I guess. Djokovic will have to do a lot better to stay to the end. But it is good to see Baghdatis making a come back.
