As the end approaches, is the one last Djokodal match left?

Why does it matter that they've met 10 times at RG but only twice at AO?

For RG, out of 12 draws where Nole and Rafa could be either on the same side or opposite side, they were placed on the same side 10 times (three of which were in the same quarter).
However, for AO, out of 11 draws where Nole and Rafa could be either on the same side or opposite side, they were placed on the same side only once (in 2017).
So, they are almost always on the same side (even in the same quarter) when possible at RG, but almost always on the opposite side at the AO.

The organizers want Nole and Rafa to meet as frequently and as early as possible at RG, but want the opposite for AO, don't you see it?

Will there be one or more Djokodal matches at RG, OG, or anywhere else? It solely depends on Claydal's form and confidence, and the organizers may adjust accordingly.

There are two slam matches Djok and his fans are very lucky he got away with...

AO12 F - Nadal nails that bh, he very likely goes on to win it
WIM18 SF - Nadal keeps his composure in the 3rd set TB he very likely wins it. Then again, lost his composure when he went for that ridiculous bh approach shot when he had bp deep in the 5th...

Had Nadal come away with victory in both of those it would have been curtains.
Djokovic’s opponents somehow screw up on approach shots deep in the 5th because Federer hit an even worse one on MP in 2019. Djokovic barely had to move to hit his response. Credit to him for coming up with the goods though when he needed them because those angled forehand passes are nasty.

Djokovic is pure luck, nothing else. rafas 2012AO miss, 2018w miss, 3 or 4 RF 40:15s and let’s not forget RF mono, and Rafas remaining 19 seasons of being injured. Additionally, had Andy survived that 2016 season…
In reality, we should assume that a Novak has a max of 5 or 6 slams, rest should be with a big asterisk!

'12 AO - Djokovic had BP's in 3 of Nadal's 4 last service games. If Nadal had made that BH, it would be only 40-15, and Nadal's service had not been won on that point. Djokovic would've won that service game or broken through in a subsequent game. Nadal was exhausted, and was just hanging on.

'18 WB - Djokovic was most dangerous when his back was against the wall. He might've won the two remaining sets on Saturday. Federer should've told his friend Nadal as much.

'13 RG - what about Djokovic's falling on the net?

You make your own luck. Murray was easy to figure out. After '13 WB, Djokovic had him figured out, so did Federer.

The only fitting way for Rafa to retire is by playing his last match vs his nemesis Djokovic. (as opposed to say Hurkacz...)

Don't forget two 40-15's by Roger.

Fedal: matches - 40, slams - 14, 35.0%, RG - 6, 15.0%
Fedovic: matches - 50, slams - 17, 34.0%
Rafole: matches - 59, slams - 18, 30.5%, RG - 10, 16.9%

Rafole lacks slam matches other than RG.

I’m still chuckling at ‘an injured Nadal’. And when is this NOT the case? His personal physician is Dr. Bombastic Bushkin.

Retire already. Please.
