Was hoping for a tighter string pattern. Few people saying they will go back to 2012 string pattern similar what aero line did with 2013
Well this is the 30th anniversary edition, not the updated version for 2024/25. I’m hoping for a tighter pattern too, not sure the sales for the 2023 PA but if they are selling well, you know it’s thanks to the tighter string bed

wait what? this one pictured above is purely a cosmetic update for the special edition? I was thinking the whole new release was the 30th anniversary and would be marketed as such through its product life. Very interesting... In that case I definitely won't be buying this one, as I prefer the old cosmetic if I'm already getting the same stick.

Yes and nah they wouldn’t do that. If it was a new upgrade to a new frame with tech, etc; the Lafino guys (Japanese tennis reviewers) would be on it by now imo. But yes, the current cosmetic is better. They should have done a homage paintjob too

I’ll be honest it looks way too much like this racquet. The lighting isn’t right in this photo but I own this frame and the shade of blue and grey is the same.

Thought this was pretty cool and interesting, and it did get me thinking that I don't really hear the women talking about their racket specs and setups and such. Could very well be because I don't watch WTA tennis near as much these days, but this felt refreshing nonetheless.

I still support tennis warehouse, just tennis warehouse Europe even from the US. Glad they let Yonex ship through. Most babs and all heads are blocked. I scooped my ezones for like $160 shipped. I am never paying $300 for a new release retail racquet.

Does anyone know if the 30th anniversary cosmetic is going to also be on the other Pure Drive frames in the family. Eg 110, 107, PD plus?

Not sure. Only the regular 300g so far. It is possible that they will come out with a full line soon with different cosmetics. Late may should be out the Wimbledon version pictured earlier, most likely a 285g frame with leather grip.

too bad this is $300+

I still play with a PD swirly and was tempted to get an anniversary one if the paint job looked good and the price was right.

Looks like I'll just buy another swirly PD on the auction site.

Head and Yonex could take a lesson from Babolat when it comes to paint jobs.
Disagree w/r to Head - other than the Speed, paint jobs for Head racquets I think are pretty cool (and the US Open Speed edition actually rocked). Yonex I agree - the Ezone is fine, but the Percept and Vcore are both pretty ughs.
