It's really cool to see analytics applied in tennis. Purists will hate it, but it takes a really intelligent, disciplined and skilled player to utilize data during a match where decisions are made split second and where the pressure of a slam final might cause a lesser player to deviate from a gameplan.
Nearly impossible to hit through Djokovic on such a slow court even for Delpo. Eventually he's going to commit an error and can't depend on his BH to gain control of rallies. The only hope he had was for Djokovic to fall apart or be on fire himself blasting FH. Very small chance of it all falling into place for him. Djokovic doesn't miss much.
Im not hating it's right there in the article, that's absolutely pathetic, it has nothing to do with demeaning anyone's title. I said more than once after he won that it was more than valid and if it was so easy to win slams, someone else besides 3 guys would be doing it.
A conflict of interests I think . Craig O'Shannessy is the strategy expert for Wimbledon, Australian Open, ATP World Tour & The New York Times. Is it correct that he should also be in the employ of one particulat player? Surely if he wishes to work for an individual player he should give up the rest. A bit like having your cake and eating it.
