Been a while, need some recommendations...

Former college player (2004-2006), just started hitting seriously again for the first time in about 6 years. I have no real idea what level that makes me in the USTA system, but it was a mid-size D1 tennis program.

Only rackets I have left from college days are my nSix-One Tour 90s. I know nothing about the current (or 2-3 previous) racket generations.

I've tried out a Yonex Ai-98 and a Tecnifibre 295 thus far. TF295 was a solid frame, for a demo at least. Yonex I didn't care for.

What are some other frames I should be taking a look at? Luckily here in my area of Atlanta, there is a good tennis shop with a pretty strong selection of player's rackets.

If you used to use a 90, you might as well try the Volkl PB10 mid. ...or the Organix 10 mid and new Super G mids.

I'd also try the Yonex Tour lines. The Tour G and Tour F.

I'll definitely give those a try! I had thought about moving to some lighter frames, but I don't know if I could ever leave the comfort of player's frames.

I'd recommend the RF97 and the pure strike tour, but I've heard good things about the current Prestige Pro/MP as well.

I use the Pure Strike Tour. It hits a mean ball when you take a full, fast cut. I think I like the normal 16x19 version better though for general playability.

I've only ever tried the strike tour. One of my friends who is a d1 level guy uses the 16x19 though and SMOKES the ball, so clearly it's effective too.

That Organix 10 Mid is on sale for $60 right now? Why is that so low-priced?

Also, holy crap have Babolats become expensive. Are they just the most popular overall now, hence the price hike over the last 10 years?

I think the Organix is so cheap because they only have 1 grip size left. Also it has been replaced by the Super G version and it wasn't popular compared to the PB10 version.

Yes, the Organix 10 Mid is on sale. Actually it has lot of pop! You just need to adjust the strings; put some multi or hybrid at low tensions and it will rock.

I also doubt that you can move away from the comfort of player frames! Would recommend demoing different types of rackets.
