I'm taller than you but I really am liking the Adidas lately, they run a wee bit big compared to Nikes, I have typical tennis player big quads and butt, they fit but aren't baggy, and hit above the knee but not so much that your various and sundries are in peril of making a guest appearance.
I also like the Lacoste ones but they are kind of expensive for a common ordinary pair of mesh shorts.

I haven't bought any Nike in the past couple of years so I can't comment. Still wearing my old Nike shorts.

My fav's due to their shorter (above the knee) length and yet generous ball pockets (never have to worry about 2 if not 3 balls falling out) are actually the cheapest: Fila Sports.
I have a charcoal and black pair that beat out in reverse order: Wilson (way too long/baggy), Adidas (little long but really small ball pockets), Lululemon (solid if slightly long and got a deal, otherwise way too expensive), Asics (smallish ball pockets but otherwise my 2nd fav).

The Adidas Bermuda shorts are great and above the knee. You can find them on sale for cheap now too.

Try uniqlo shorts. I'm 5'10 and medium seem to be perfectly balanced for me (maybe could've been just a tiny bit shorter), so you may want to check them out and see if they work for your build. Fila shorts have very deep pockets, as mentioned above, but I Find their cut too baggy.

Me too, but I just wear them casually because they are uncomfortable to play in.
The Melbourne 7" shorts are awesome though.

Didn't think of trying Uniqlo.. I wonder if their clothes are more slim fit given they're a Japanese company. I weigh about 180 so some mediums fit me fine and other times they're a bit tight.

Adidas Barricades: above the knee, not too short, great clima management, great stretch, and hold comfortably 3-4 balls in the pocket.
