In 2018 Nadal was a relic (loses to Gasquet, Thiem...). Nadal played out of this world at SW19 2007 and had it not been for the supernatural will-power of the Grass GOAT, Nadal would have been a multi-slam champion that year, carry momentum into the USO and potentially be No1.

It is clear that you don't watch tennis. Nadal in 2007 did not play against Laver as you wrote. It was Federer at the time when he was still developing.

See if you had said Federer's not grass GOAT that would be an opinion and I would respect it.

If you had said Nadal played better in other years I would respect that too.

But trying to pass off 2007 final as a plain run of the mill match something between a 'developing Nadal' and Weak era Federer. when both played out of his skin and from the strictest subjective opinion remains top4-5 Wimbledon Finals of the century.
That I don't respect.

You are trolling or have Never watched the match. So either watch it and savour one of the best grass matches ever or troll better.

First of all, I discussed with somebody else and suddenly you appeared. What you respect is your problem. In my opinion, 2018W is the best grass court match Nadal ever played. I sow that he outplayed Djokovic and only superhuman will of Djokovic prevented him winning. Compare it (depth, quality of balls etc.)

Since when is winning less points, commiting more UEs and having less Ws than your opponent called "outplaying him"?

What I saw is much slower Nadal against worse opponent (Djokovic is great, no doubt. But Federer of 2007 is still something else on grass). Sorry. Nadal was somehow lucky Djokovic allowed him to dictate the points wery often, that he was many times to passive. The same mistake he did in his slam matches against Wawrinka. Djokovic's opponent than seems much better than he really is.

Please, no need to apologize. It is just your (wrong) opinion and you are not doing anyone harm.

Well, I have probably no problem being called "wrong" by a guy who consider someone winning less points, having less Ws and commiting more UEs to outplay his opponent ;)

I absolutely don't have any problem disagreeing with a guy who says "Anyone but Zverev". Just to make it clear, this guy is you.

Has to be 2018 W.. in fact he was better player off the ground in match and against Djokovic that means something. If not for some amazing cluth serve from Djokovic Nadal was winning that match.

Even though I think the 2012 AO is the best match he lost, I actually felt hopeful after that match because Nadal FINALLY looked like he had found a way to beat Djokovic after those 7 straight losses.
The 2018 Wimbledon was pure heartbreak though! Vintage Nadal. Deserved that trophy

Nadal was incredible in that 2008 Wimbledon match against Murray. One of his best performances on grass.

His best performance. Probably the best grass match from anyone not named Federer in the last 15+ years.

For me, I think the Wimbledon semi vs Djokovic this year. In the AO 2012 Final his level was a bit up and down and but in the Wimbledon semi he seemed to be at a very high level the entire match, even in the sets he lost. The forehands and backhands down the line were incredible to watch as he made those low-percentage shots over and over in the most important moments. While his movement is not as good as back in 2007, 2012, I think his net game was better and he was usuing the drop shot so well. I don’t know the last time I’ve seen a player hit so many drop shots against Novak and actually have it work most of the time. I have always been a little bit more of a Fed fan but during the match, nadals performance off th forehand side was just about as good as any I’ve seen from Fed.

Finally some reason in this place. Nice to see :)

Probably Wimbledon 2007 but it's tough to judge. Different opponents and different Nadals too in these matches.
