It is so long overdue, and I am sure everyone hates me for not having published this sooner. Here’s the results for calendar years 2007 and 2008:

The only member to achieve victory in multiple categories – Best New Member AND Best User Name. This is very special and I am sure everyone joins me in sincere congratulations to him.

Runner-up: Zets147
This poster has the best avatar, and the voting for him was so overwhelming, that it is just unbelievable.

First, I'd like to thank the TW academy ....

I think Fedace deserves to win an award but he doesn't quite fit into the categories posted.

Perhaps he should win "Best Dog Handler" (after he intentionally fed his dog food with "brown bugs" in it. He later determined that they were "flees" .... and asked his fellow TW posters whether he should sue Iams due to the poor quality control)

Or, perhaps he will win in the "Best Dressed Male in Women's Underwear" category? (after he proclaimed that he liked wearing women's underwear better than men's).

That is the tragedy of TTW, if you ask anyone who knows what they are talking about. It is precisely the transience of the resident genius that renders the discourse so utterly precious. Yes, all of my favourite commentators from that era are now gone. I used to read Leanne's column religiously, even though I never like fed. Where are they now, you find yourself asking, and what is to happen to us now that they are gone?...

Hey it's from Brother 1 actually. I am pretty sure it's when he first gets to StP and before he finds his brother. But yeah it could have easily been from Brother 2, because there are more river scenes in that one actually, and he got plenty of bruises in that one too. On balance, I think Brother 1 is a better film, but Brother 2 has a richer soundtrack. And yeah he is totally a cultural icon, I am not as cool as him but that shot is a reflection of my feeling...

OK, I see your point. I mean, not completely, because fed is arrogant (so who cares what people rightfully pile on him), whereas nadal is a champ and good sportsman and everybody likes him. I shall carry the legacy strategically, i.e. when the time is right. That doesn't mean that people couldn't nominate him for GOAT though or anything...

Sure, Brothers 2 was set in Chicago, right? But Brothers 1 is a real favorite of mine. And I liked that moody soundtrack when he wanders around StPete. Did you know that Bodrov (Danila) died in a tragic accident?

He was the son of the Russian playwright, actor, director and producer Sergei Bodrov. He was killed in a rock and ice slide in the mountains near Karmadon after finishing the second day of shooting of his film The Messenger

Yes, of course I know what happened, he is quite an iconic figure. For so many of us, a chunk of our soul died in that avalanche. The song you are thinking of is “Lyudi na holme” by Nautilius, I think they are awesome and the soundtrack was just perfect. The Brother 2 is in Chicago, and I don’t think the sequel was as good as the original, but the awesome Bi-2 songs in the soundtrack made up for some of the shortfall I thought. “Varvara” is such an awesome song…

The nomination thread has been a huge hit. I guess I should have done that zets legacy thing right away... Oh I guess I just can't change avatars that quickly cause I am not that kind of person...:|
