Best place online to buy single cans of tennis balls?

Hi all, I just ran out and need to buy a new case of balls. I have always used Penn Championship Extra Duty balls - they don't last, but because they are cheap, I just open a new can every time.

However, I am finding they aren't up to snuff with the 4.0 guys I am playing with - terrible bounce at the end of the 2nd set, and the felt destroyed by topspin. I think it's time to step it up in terms of quality of my tennis balls.

I don't want a super long-lasting ball. I do not mind opening a new can for each session (in fact, I prefer it). I just want the balls to last the duration of 3 sets and still be as close as possible to when I open the can. So I am going on a great pilgrimage to find the perfect ball for me (never thought I'd abandon my run-of-the-mill Penns).

On the list to try: Dunlop GrandPrix XD, Penn ATP XD (gold lid), Babolat French Open All Court.

FYI, my club uses US Opens and I don't want my balls mixing with those, so the Wilsons are off the list.

My question: where can a guy order all 3 of these in single cans (combine shipping) for a reasonable price? I don't want to have to buy full cases to try them out, and I can't seem to find these locally. I'd love to spend $15 to $20 shipped on the 3 cans. Amazon would be like $8 or $9 for each can, above my price point.

P.S. - I played with Wilson Titaniums yesterday for 2 sets, lol. I'd tried them before and hated them. Turns out they still suck.

My experience after trying all 3 of these balls is to skip the Dunlops. They are terribly hard. You can't go wrong with either the Babolats or Penn ATP Extra Duty. Both are great balls.

But you are probably going to have to figure out the best place to order them; it's in bad form to recommend competitor's websistes on a forum hosted by Tennis Warehouse.

Ya, but TW doesn't offer these in singles (or I would include them with an order of shoes or string). And I plan on ordering a case from them once I know what I want. My intentions are good, I swear :)

I'm biased because, unless I'm testing, the only balls I ever buy are U.S. Open. You don't want your balls to get mixed up with the 100 other USO's all over your club? Just buy USO. When you open your new cans immediately draw a circle around the ball with a permanent red marker. It will be easy to distinguish your balls.

Ha, trust me, the guys at my club will still get them mixed up. One guy last night, hitting with US Opens he just picked up from behind the screen, still managed to steal my Dunlop for a few points even after I told him "I'm hitting Dunlop 2s."

US Opens are out.

well..if hes hitting with your dunlops anyways, whats the point of not buying us open? they will pick up and use your balls no matter what.

but to answer your question, the dunlops are not so good. heavy. i would go with pro penn regular duty marathon.

PNW. Not a lot of tennis shops in the area. And what we do have carries either US Opens, or crap.

Which area of the PNW are you located at? I live up here as well and I found there to be a good amount of shops and clubs that sell good balls.
