Best Touch from Sub-11.4 ounce Racquet?

What 'Sub 11.4 ounce' racquet do you think offers the best touch?

My vote would have to go to the Head LiquidMetal Radical Midplus!

Although the somewhat lack of spin {and at times power} with the racquet (at least with the strings I've tried in it) seems to keep this from being my 'go to' racquet, I cannot deny that it offers the best touch of any racquet I've played with under 11.4 ounces. Angles, shoe string pick ups, and touch volleys at the net are just amazing (and I typically suffer from 'netphobia'). Drop shots are just so natural.

Although the Yonex RDS002 and the MicroGel Radical Midplus come close, IMO the LM Rad MP offers the best touch of any racquet under 11.4 ounces.

Looking forward to your choices.

My fave is the dunlop 4D 500 tour. It totally different the the radical midplus. I have 2 flexpoints. The pro and the tour.

PB9 yo, , probably best stability out of tweener rackets too

The Dunlop 500Tour, while a power type of racket, has ridiculous touch at net.

Hey Triple B, glad to see you're still hanging in there, disappointed you're not equivocating on racquets. What are you playing these days?

Anyway, to the question: Head Radical Tours out of the middle late 90's, twin tube with a bit of Twaron, OS came in 11.0, MP about 11.4, far better touch that anything ever made that light, then or now. Period, end of contest.

Haven't been playing a lot lately (mother has been very sick the past 4 weeks...she joined my dad in Heaven this morning).

Currently using the Pure Drive Cortex just because I like the pure power and spin of the racquet. Have to give up the touch but really like the incredible spin and power I get with the racquet. Still carry the Head LM Rad MP as well as the nCode nPro Open in my bag.

So sorry to hear that your mom passed away TripleB

My most sincere condolences.

Condolences here, too, TripleB. I know it must be a difficult time for you.

Thank you both.

As losing your mother can go, it was almost perfect.

She was in a beautiful Hospice facility, went peacefully, and never felt any pain even in the final days.

My sister and I were beside her and talked (and laughed) for over 3 hours about our childhood memories with her and my dad. Even though she couldn't 'hear' us, I know she enjoyed hearing us laugh. We both fell asleep around 11:45pm and the nurse woke us up at 12:30 to let us know that she had just passed away.

Again, thank you for your comments.

TripleB, So very sorry about your mother. May GOD bless you and your sister.
It's difficult to be prepared even when you know it's coming. You have my deepest sympathy.

I agree, I've been demoing the LM Rad, and it really is a really nice racket for touch shots.

EDIT: Oh, and my condolences to you as well. I'm sure you will pull through all right!

Sorry, TripleB, I just saw this thread. Let me add my most heartfelt condolences. I've been through it myself and know how hard it is. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'd be curious to know how the Fischer 295g versions of the #1 ranked.

Pacific X-Force would also qualify for the purpose of that question.
