Ok that's maybe a dumb question but I want some white poly string to match my TF40 :) :)

Currently evaluating some options with a bit of pop a not too stiff for my arm

Which one would you chose?

- TF Ice Code (like it but a bit stiff)
- Yonex Polytour Rev
- Signum Pro Hextreme Pure
-

Any other nice white poly??
:)

Try ice code in thinner gauges.

I think red would look good. Try head hawk touch 1.20 in red.

Yeah red and also dark blue fit the frame well... I have one strung with Solinco Revolution and it looks nice... quite love the string but in Hybrid... a bit stiff and too low powered for the TF40

Ok those are on the try list

Yonex Polytour Rev
Wilson revolve

Those are super slippery according to TWU

Also curious about the Signum Pro Hextreme Pure

I have some set left of

Volkl V Torque Tour
L Tec 4S
Ice Code
Polyfibre TCS Rapid
Alu Power Vibe (but didn't like it when I tried it)

Might report what is the best of white string out there

By the way, I really think Solinco needs a white string in their linup!!

Imagine an Hyper G "pure" in white... that would sell like hot cakes!! :)

Well... definitely dont like Yonex Polytour Rev... It's stiff, not particularly spinny and I have no pocketing and no feel at all...
Next...

Will try Ice Code 120 at low tension next (21kg or 46lb)

@Casper777 - That's very telling. If you think Rev lacks softness, spin, pocketing and feel, then you can probably eliminate a good chunk my list.

As for Ice Code 1.20, it might be doable at medium-low-ish tension. I'd probably try MSV Swift 1.25 next after that.

suprising to hear. i have a customer i string Rev for and it stretches almost as much as synthetic gut. i'm blown away to read anyone call it stiff.

Try any of the white strings above hybrid with OGSM white syn gut. Worth a shot because the syn gut is so cheap. I would say PSG duraflex too but is more a transparent white. The shade will be a touch off

Just a quick update...

So far the white one I really like is the Signum Pro Hextreme Pure 120!! That may be actually quite close to a white hyper G soft!!

Fits the TF40 very well.... strung it at 21kg

Plenty of bite, quite forgiving has a nice crisp feeling at Impact... niiiice

Just posted in another thread don't find ice code stiff, maybe bump the tension down a few pounds and/or cross it with T1 GW.
i'm just talking out of my butt here cause I'm no chemist, but I think tecnifibre's thermacore technology is what makes their polys feel stiff and soft. the heat kills some of the elasticity, making it play like a stiff poly, but it also softens the plastic, making it feel a little more muted. that's why there's a lot of conflicting reports on feel

I agree that TF strings don't FEEL stiff... but I learned the hard way they are for your arm, and that the stiffness rating is real...
