Bigger Grip size of Donnay Pro One

I have been playing Head, Volkl and Donnay X Dark Red with grip size 3.

I would like to buy the Donnay Pro One, but noticed in some post, grip size is a bit bigger than usual.

So, should I go for 1 size down (grip size 3 to 2) for Donnay Pro One?

Thanks!

I had a platinum94 in 3/8 and the pro one 3/8 is larger, but think the plat was a little small. It's similar to the size of a Wilson I have

I play with a lot of different rackets, didn't notice Donnay's 3/8 size to be bigger.

Keep in mind, new grip with new over grip will be noticeably bigger at first, but gets compressed down as you play.

The Pro ONe 4 3/8" is a 4 3/8"
The other Donnay's I have tried (X-Dual Gold, X-Red 94+, Formula)...a 4 3/8" is closer to 4 1/4"

Don't all those models use the exactly same pallets?

Then what would account for the difference in size, diff original grips?

I also have a 4 1/2" Gold here that appears to be a 4 3/8" The grips do appear different, the black Donnay grip on the Pro One seems to be thicker than the white one on the Gold.

I honestly do not know if the Pro One Pallet is the same. If it is, one would think the grip size should be exactly the same.
All comparisons were subjective on my part but using the same Gamma leather grips. The Pro One was noticeably bigger (and was a real 4 3/8") than the others, where the 4 3/8" was closer to 4 1/4" based on feel. Again, no actual measurements taken, but I could.

And FWIW my results are based on measuring the demos I have. The white grip and black grip are both the kind where each strip of grip is raised in the center (I forget what we call that, contoured? i.e. the grip is bumpy not smooth) and on the black grip it's raised by more.
