I am watching Entertainment Tonight as I type this, and they have a story on Britney Spears. They say that she was buying a pregancy test "for a friend". Such an original excuse, I know. Anyway, I just wanted to ask people's opinions on her, and her life, altogether. I, for one, feel a little bit bad for her because she used to have talent. When I was younger, I used to like her songs. I remember when her hit Toxic was hot on the radio. I used to like her back then. Now, she is the perfect example of what not to do, and how not to act. I feel bad for her. And now her sister! I just hope that Jamie Lynn's kid doesn't grow up in such a messed up life and Sean Preston and Jayden James are growing up in right now. She seems like a normal person, Jamie Lynn does. I like her... and her show, Zoey 101. I just wish her and her kid luck, because I hope she doesn't make her kids so messed up as Britney did.

And another thing that I wonder about: Where are Britney and Jamie Lynn's parents while all of this is happenning? Are they like pretending they aren't Jamie Lynn and Britney's parents? If they see that Britney has no chance of getting help, I think that they should ahve at least warned Jamie Lynn to not follow that same path. She is now pregnant at 16. I think, if she doesn't get some help or advice now, she might turn out the same as her older sister.

who really cares. seriously at some point people gotta stop watching the destruction of a person. thats all that is happening is she is absolutly destroyed her life. and her parents are no good. they say they raised there 2 girls properly but 1 has completely lost it and the other is having a kid at 16. thats great parenitng when both your kids lives are a mess.

I hope they get their lives back on track. Raising a kid at 16 is going to be tough, but who's to say the baby is going to get messed up? Maybe his/her grandparents will really step in, and provide some stability from outside the limelight.

Yup. Strip away the tabloid crap, and you have a teenager mother and a woman in a custody battle over her children. Whom am I to judge? I only feel pity for the children. If this happened to a famous young tennis player, would we be laughing at or mocking that person?

I don't know about Britney having talent. I don't think she writes her songs and to me she is not a real artist, she's an entertainer.Anyways, it's a shame that they have to deal with the pressure of stardom especially from a young age. Surely the normal joes wish they can have the fame and fortune that these celebrities have. But as much as I feel for these celebs for their problems, some of them really do stupid decisions.

Nah... she's always been screwed up and had little actual talent - it's just that you've grown up and matured, so your perspective on her has become more realistic.

Hope all you want, if that kid is born and is not given up for adoption, there is a 99% possibility that it will have a very screwed up life.

They AREN'T their parents. Certainly not in the parental way, at least. They've obviously done very little correctly in their parenting - rather than raising two daughters, they preferred to fabricate 'stars'. Utterly selfish, and certainly not worthy of the high office of 'parent'.

It makes you wonder why their mother felt she was qualified to write a book on parenting in the first place (it is now on hold given the recent teen pregnancy). Amazing but I like the irony.

My guess is that the publisher approached the mother with the book idea and, of course, offered her a chest full of coin for all her troubles.

Hell, everyone's an "expert" if they're offered enough money to hold forth...being unqualified and incompetent on the subject matter at hand doesn't seem to be an obstacle these days. Times certainly have changed.

You can take the kid stars out of the trailer park but you can't take the trailer park out of the kid stars.

The parents are idiots. They're milking their kids for money.

Jamie seems to be a little smarter than Britney but Britney seemed pretty normal and smart at 16 also.

All in all I think there's a real problem with the exploitation of kid stars. There's just too many lives that have been ruined and the parents all seem to join in the fun of ruining their childrens lives

It is very difficult to watch a human being self-destruct and die so senselessly. The girl is obviously on a path that features no way out. I would feel the same if she wasn't a celeb. The continuing sadness is that the lives of the two tots will be irrevocably damaged if they aren't removed from this insanity quickly. Being with Fed is only slightly better than being with Brit. I'm sure the only human contact they have is with a long and ever-changing line of nannies.

Hey, at least Britney didn't spend any time in jail---she just lost her kids.
Anyone care about the jail time that other losers have been spending lately? Paris was finally in for 23 days, I believe. Her pal, Nicole Ritchie, was supposed to spend 4 days, but spent just 82 minutes. (Huh?) Lindsay Lohan had to spend 2 more, at 84 minutes. (She even ran over a guy's foot with her SUV.)
That's your sleazeball celebrity report! More to follow (since they think they're untouchable, and have high-priced lawyers, as well). Pretty nice to be rich and famous (and have little talent).

Well, Morph, I think it's pretty bad when a very rich mother goes crazy and, among other things, has been videotaped with a drink in one hand and drops her kid in the other---thankfully, the kid was caught on the way down by her bodyguard. Great role model, Brit! Keep up the bad work!
She deserves to go to jail to maybe sober herself up (nothing else seems to work), but so far, she's free to continue to act like a maniac around town. Stay off those L.A. streets, everybody! If she's in the driver's seat, she might be right behind you!
