Broke my first racket ever

Guy pissed me off today, and with my life’s stress, I snapped and smashed my PS97v11. Been playing 6 years straight. And more in my teens. Smashed my first one today.

He’s the “coach” and would always say “you suck” whenever I missed a shot. Yeah I know I suck, even pros miss and suck. Federer 40-15 MP suck. What a dick.

Finally snapped today with my other life’s stresses.

Welp, gotta find another 4.5 to play with. Tennis sucks.

Back on TT to vent.

Don't sweat it. Sounds like everything really boiled over.

It can become a very tempting outlet, so don't get into the habit unless you're not going to miss the frames and/or expense!

Good luck with the stresses you allude to.

Don’t worry friend. Federer understands. We move on.

Tennis really is ungrateful sometimes, just relax and reflect on what lesson this experience brought to you and grow on that.
Yeah, I just should've stopped playing with him earlier. It's just hard to find partners in tennis.
He's 15 years older than me, so he must think he can treat me like a kid/toy. I can only take it for so long. That's my bad.

I’ve met and played with dozens of coaches in my life. None I’ve ever seen have the audacity to tell someone they suck. Screw that person. Hope you find someone to work with who gives you positive feedback. These things are important for developing and maintaining a love for the game

side bar, I’ve crushed a few prestiges in my day. Not a great feeling but at the end of the day this stuff happens

A week ago I picked up an already broken PS97 from the park courts. Person who owned it really did a number on it but it’s now my “therapy” racquet

Have never broken a racket out of anger, but have broken several in the course of play. Old Yonex R 22's were pretty fragile.

Same. I can say there were close moments when I was tempted to throw my racquet but the dread of being broke kicks in pretty fast and stops me
