Burn 95/96

Does anyone know if Wilson is updating the Steam 96? I am a big fan of the Wilson Tour series. I have been using the HH 5.2, H-Tour, K-Tour, BLX Tour, and now the Steam 96. If they are updating, I hope the new rackets are more flexible. I can't seem to use the Steam 96 with a full bed of poly.

The Steam 99 S and 105 S only will stay this year and be discontinued in the future; the Juices will be updated next year. The Burn line is the replacement for the Steams. This is based on input from TW and other forum members.

Oh no! I guess I'll have to stock up on the Steam 96. I don't like the Burn series. Too stiff and too rounded. I am used to the specs of the Steam 96. I like the 16x20 string pattern and the head shape. The Juice is too thick and too stiff for my liking. The Blades are too control oriented. The Steam 96 has the best of both worlds.

Play a Burn then decide.

Will try the 16x19 as soon as it arrives. But based on previous experiences with the Steam 99 and the Blade 98S, I don't think I'm gonna like the Burn 100. But we'll see.

The Burn 100 is such a good racket; I'm testing Burn 100S and Burn 100 at the moment. The Burn 100 got many qualities. Very polyvalent. Mix of control and power.
And the Burn100S give more spin, a little less control.

How are volleys? It looks like a lot of power on paper.

Played with d Burn 100. Had mixed emotions. It has a Pure Drive feel that I don't like yet it's more stable than d PD, maybe because it has a high swing weight. I might as well go to Japan and buy that elusive Burn 95.
