Can Djokovic reach 400 weeks at no 1?

I have no problem with people back then believing that he won't, but come on, it just pains me to see that they were 100% SURE he won't. Now they're probably the same that accuse him of vulturing. I mean, come on, not only in tennis, but in life you should not be so sure when you tell someone that he can't do something. It will probably left you speechless in the years to come.

So true! And it gets even worse with some people. Not only that they made arrogant and wrong predictions, but even AFTER they have been proven wrong they still insist on their prediction actually being the "reasonable" and "normally correct one", only that weird and "unpredictable" circumstances occured.

Well, then those who made correct predictions seemingly recognized the circumstances and the others did not, as simple as that.

Has Djokovic now all but secured the No. 1 until French Open 2024?

He has to defend his AO (and I think no one doubts that he will go far in that tournament again), but after that, he doesn’t have that much points to defend, with him missing the US spring tournaments last year.

He would need about 2,5 more years at #1. He is 32 now.
Who would push him from the top spot? Nadal is not consistent enough apart from clay. Federer plays light schedules and will likely retire in 2020. The young players are still far away from Fedalovic level.

400 weeks may sound unrealistic but this generation does impossible things on a regular basis. There was a time when 40 Masters 1000 or 20 slams seemed absurd, too.

After taking out Alcaraz, preventing him from potential 900 points and adding 400 more(with 500 more in play tomorrow), he has a really good shot to keep no 1 until clay season.
