Can Stan win Wimbledon and complete career grand slam?

I cant even belive that Stanislas Wawrinka, player who until age 28 didnt had any major success (0 slams, 0 slam finals, 0 masters titles, only 1 GS semi final etc...) is only 1 slam away from completing career grand slam.

Have to say, even tho he isnt consistant as the big four, winning 3 out of 3 slam finals is amazing, two of those were against Djokovic!

Personaly, as a Djokovic fan, I would love to see that, even tho I dont think its possible cuz grass is his worst surface, but it would be a little tennis miracle if that happaned.

Stan is one of my favorite tennis players. However he never found much success in Grass except for his QF run in 2015 (I believe that was his best Wimbledon result).

It is shocking since he's a decent volleyer and a great baseline game but has a terrible slice hence why he does poor due to not having a great slice and hitting low skidding shots.

Why not?

He has two Wimbly 1-4 finals. Booth loses were pretty tough loses.
But problem is training and short grass season. There isn't too much time for training in grass,i guess.

No he won't. He'll be 32 by the next one — which means that if he were to win it, next year is probably his only chance — and it's by far his worst surface. At the USO he has had a couple of semis before, pushed Novak to the brink before, etc. At Wimbledon he could lose to a whole bunch of players.

can he, yes. will he, naw probably not!

Warwinka needs a slower surface than even the 'new grass' of Wimbledon nowadays...

the slowing of the USO this year really helped him.

He also reached the QF in 2014.

The best I've seen of him on grass was the QF 2014 against Fed, first two sets. He would need to play like that, preferably on top of that serve at least 60 per cent 1st serves in and avoid the likes of a Federer, Dimitrov, Raonic, Murray and tall flat big hitters and servers like Cilic, Del Potro and possibly an on fire Zverev.

Stan rarely brings his best on grass. Of course, there isn't much of a grass court season these days so maybe he hasn't put much stock in it..

Pros -He has a big game which can be hard to contain on what's supposed to be a fast surface, very proficient at the net. Confidence from winning 3 majors in the last couple of years.
Cons- Less time to wind up on the backhand, doesn't have a big bomb of a serve (However very few Wimbledon champions of late have).

I think he can, I don't know why he hasn't made a semi yet. Can someone explain?

Actually to be honest Stan does have a big bomb of a serve - his first serve is massive and very hard to control, it's a brutal shot just like his groundies, however, his 1st serve percentage is typically poor, not uncommon for it to be < 50%, which is why he is open to being beaten by lesser players. The two matches he lost in the QF were against excellent grass court players. Federer doesn't need any discussion and grass is definitely one of Gasquet's better suited surfaces. On grass, more than any other surfaces, it's imperative that he avoid certain players at all costs, typically those with a ton of versatility who can take the ball early and are aggressive opportunists ala Federer and Dimitrov.

Of course he can win it. Look at the Wimbledon results for the last decade and a half. The same people do well on all surfaces, because except for the footing, all surfaces have been engineered to play exactly the same. There's no such thing as a good or bad "grass court player" in the post-2002 world.
