Can TW bring in Asian versions of Wilson racquets?

Would it be possible for TW to bring in the Asian versions of some Wilson racquets? We all know that Wilson makes and sells lighter versions of many of their player's racquets exclusively in Asia. Since TW has been successful in the past in bringing in European versions of some Wilson racquets (e.g., HPS 6.0 95 Tour, HPS 6.1 18x20, etc.), some discontinued racquets (e.g., PS 6.0 95, PS 6.1 Classic), and some Wilson paintjobs (e.g., PS 6.0 85/95 with Tour 90/95 paintjobs, etc.), I was just wondering if TW also has enough clout with Wilson to also stock some of their Asian version player's racquets? In particular, I would especially be interested in the Asian version of the nCode nSix-One Tour 90. It appears to me that Wilson is very open to these special arrangements with TW.

We checked with Wilson and they will not be bringing any of these to the US market right now. Coming out in January is an Ncode nPS 95 which has many appealing features for fans of lighter player's racquets - light weight (10.8 ounces strung) and swingweight, tight 18/20 string pattern etc.

Thanks Chris for contacting Wilson on this. Too bad, though. I think there would be a lot of appeal in the U.S. market for a slightly lighter version of the nSix-One Tour. Couldn't they just bring a limited number over just for TW like they did with the HPS 6.0 95 Tour in '03 and the PS 6.0 85/95 paintjobs (Tour 90/95) last year?

BTW, the specs of the nCode nPS 95 seem a bit too light, more like a tweener than a slightly lighter player's racquet.

chris, sorry to bring this up again, but you said wilson would not bring them to the US right now. could this possibly mean that they could in the future? if so, im sure it would sell very well here at TW!! check the thread out in the racquets board, it is full of positive feedback!

nCode 61 95 - Asia Version (why do they do that?)

I unwittingly just picked one up in Asia last week not knowing that Asia had different versions of the same racquet!

Question for anyone - Initially, I thought I bought unwittingly, a
knock off imitation when I started to compare specs. How many tennis racquet manufacturers do this? And for that matter, why do you think they feel that lighter versions need to be sold in Asia? Size of the people?

Wilsons web site has nothing about it.. How do you think it will play vs.
the USA version? Is it the same proportioned head
light point ratio? I played with it when I was in Singapore and I felt a noticeable difference with the Diablo Tour....

Has anyone played with both the asia / usa version? -- Any comments are welcome!

They may or may not go for this at a later date. I think the nPS 95 will appeal to those that find the nSix-One racquets too demanding. We will check in with Wilson in the future, but with the nPS 95 not yet in stock, it could be awhile before Wilson entertain such a request.
