More importantly, she dressed him in a PINK Polo shirt! Being a MALE pooch, I'm sure he's thoroughly embarrassed-though you couldn't tell by his expression in the photo;)

Hmm - anyone feeling like writing a 500 word think piece?

"The emasculation of the modern day pooch is only exacerbated when the designer clothing is hot-pink."

Hey all!! Fee thanks for posting the pic of Joy! Yeah, you know how I feel about dressing the dog, but hopefully you can talk Justin out of that crazy idea. :)
Very cool bird - I've always wanted one to coo at me all day and tell me how pretty and special I am! LOL.

Oh wow, I just read back and saw Bogart - what a face!! I love cats with some personality. Does he sleep with you? My boy has been sick lately and choosing to sleep on the kitchen floor (no matter how many times I try to coax him into bed with treats he just won't budge).

wow , cute pupie fee ..

Thank you. I am her 'goddess mother' and I haven't met her yet. Hopefully I will on Saturday.

Fee, you bought your dog a Ralph Lauren shirt? I do not even think my parents would buy one for their beloved Pomeranian, or as I refer to her:
"The Golden Child".

No, and I never would. That shirt was a gift from one of her 'Uncles.'

Insanely cute puppie (its a puppie right?) Fee! I don't know about that polo though;) What kind of dog?

Justin thinks she's a German Shepherd/Chow mix. She's a pound puppy, so they may never know for sure.

She's not a male. Justin said he sent me that picture because he thought I would like it. I have to admit, it makes me laugh but I alternate between 'aww, cute' and 'oh man that's stupid' I think the photo would have a great sense of irony if the puppy had a Paris Hilton doll in it's mouth...

He is more of the house cat, but as soon as my alarm goes off in the morning he is right there to see if I am getting up. One morning he came in my room while I was sleeping, got on my bed, I must have been in rim sleep, and he found my eyelid movement curious, because I woke up to him punching me IN MY EYE. I had a little oval bruise under my eye, he was a 15 pound cat at the time, he was only a few months old then, now he weighs about 20.

I am sorry you boy is sick, has he been to the vet yet?

Cool story, what kind of cat, 20 lbs?

Awesome! Yes, thanks for asking - my Paws has asthma and Diabetes. The asthma only really acts up in the summer due to the high humidity. His sugar levels are off so I'm taking him in to the vet this week for a glucose curve (all day event) to adjust his insulin dose (he gets a shot every twelve hours). He's about 22 lbs now and has never given me a black eye ;) but used to chew my hair when I was sleeping - I would wake to see a chunk of hair on my pillow all the time.

You ought to see to what lengths they go in Japan to outfit pet dogs...the other day I saw a dog wearing SHOES. That's right, four tiny little canvas things, with LACES no less...(I'm serious).

I expect to see that think piece on my desk by Friday, Orange. Got that?

It was a JOKE...no need to get so defensive. And unless you OWN a pink shirt and wear it, you obviously do care.

Oh I'll rock the pin......no, wait, I think not. I'm not trying to be defensive, I actually like freaking people out, rockin the shorts t-shirt and sandles in -28 degree weather.;)

Really who does that Phil? People with too much money to burn? Too much time on their hands? Experiencing empty nest syndrome now that the chitlins are off to college? Nothing like witnessing indulgence in it's grandest form on the feet of precious poopsie.

Heh :).

And I really don't want to see the lengths, I don't ;). Because then I might be tempted to make comments on pets, and I get the overall feeling my opinions about pets would be unwelcome in this locale...

Mainly, it's females, ages 25-40, single, childless. They often have money to burn-especially if they still live at home with the folks (very common here-a phenomenon called "parasite singles"-a name that I find perfectly fitting and hilarious). They treat their dogs somewhat as they would children, hence the clothes. Freud might have a field day with all this, but I try and stay clear of it;)

I'll get skis, a jacket, gloves, and a hat for my bird then. Oh wait, I'm not a 25-40 year old female with money. I'm a broke 15 year old guy. :(

I'm guessing that bird clothes and accessories are much cheaper than dog stuff, because birds, on average, are much smaller.

Hmm, it seems, from goings on in other threads, we may be losing the only superstitious-one in the village!

(bonus points for working out that reference ;))
Too easy OO.:D Serve up another one.
I believe I earned bonus points from Mr Warriorrrroger for correctly identifying him thusly a year or so ago...

I absolutely refuse to take credit for that post - I like him, but if he leaves I'm afraid it's his own choice and not the result of my honesty. ;)

Exactly, stand up against your foes, fight the war one battle at a time, move mountains and shift the winds to work in your favour.

Isn't that right Phil - my dragon-slaying partner through life? ;)

Partner through life? Hmmmmm, I can't see Phil taking that position. ;)

Hahaha - you missed it Voltron - it's from an old thread long, long ago when dragons ruled the land and warriors travelled in pairs so as to "watch each other's backs" against foes.

I'm afraid I'm a little lost on the chair comment as I've never heard that one before. Our Phil, by the sounds of it has many 25-40 year old dependent maidens with overly-accessorized dogs to focus his attention but always seems to be around when he's needed. lol. ;)

Yay, and so it is and so it shall be, thouest fiery partner in thy quest to smite evil wherever we may face it, and emboldening and defending the righteous rights of the innocent, the weak and the downtrodden. We shall do it together or we shall not do it at all, thy warrior princess...(i.e. you got that right!;) ).

Phil, be kind to my adopted son. He's energetic, but he's a good egg overall. I think he has a good sense of justice and a willingness to help the downtrodden. He may have had a bit too much sugar tonight ;), but I think he just likes jousting with you to strengthen his muscles, so to speak. Feel free to call him 'Grasshopper' and enlighten him with your worldly ways. :)

Hey Fee, we haven't been in the bistro together for a few days. How is my business partner and sister goddess doing? Have the headaches eased at all in the last week? As for your step-son, Phil will either call him grasshopper or step on him like one. lol.

Voltron just remember to avoid the chat-type posts (IOW - try to use sentences and no spoilers - for the benefit of our friend KK) and you can hang with the big kids. You are a good guy as I have myself seen and obviously Fee thinks very highly of you bud. :-D

Oh, where is a good Thoreau quote when you need one. Mhuahaahahahaha.

Glad everyone likes me. So, what type of racquet does everyone use?

CanadianChic

Voltron: I am almost ashamed to admit it, as I know the majority seem to favour Volkl and Yonex (I avoid the racquet session due to an extreme lack of knowledge) but I play with Wilson. I do not use dog balls anymore, so apparently that is an improvemnt.
