Has anyone ever heard of Centring stringing machines?

I did a few searches but couldn't come up with anything, presumably they are rebranded or similar.

Edit: Can't post image as the only one I could find was on a competitive site. Model is Centring 001 for anyone who wants to see a picture

Specifications:
- Six-point, suspension mounting system
- Drop-weight tensioning system
- Linear ball bearing string gripper with with unidirectional clutch (locking ratchet system)
- 10-90 pound tension range in both pound and kilogram scales
- 360 degree swivel turntable with ball bearing device for very easy and smooth ratation
- Two diamond-coated, heavy-duty dual-action thumb-adjustable stainless steel swivel clamp (fixed clamps): 2 PN-1012 tennis clamps
- Handle any diagonal stringing (fan patterned frames)

Looks pretty good, the features list looks pretty good also, does anyone have any opinions?

Trying to find something over here in the UK as TW will not ship internationally.

^^^ Well spotted, for some reason I didn't see the part number, a quick google reveals it to indeed be an Eagnas clamp. Do other machines use this clamp or is this just a rebranded Eagnas you think?

It look similar but not the same as another Eagnas dropweight that I've seen

I just saw a couple of Centring pics in the TW Tennis Stringers Club thread:

Thanks Nuke, it doesn't appear to be well known at all, which suggests either you are going to get a very good name brand machine for less or you are getting a copy with some outsourced clamps

Hey Rob,

Thats my room in the pic!

I just got the machine last week....quality is excellent and its a fantastic machine. Centring are just re-branded Eagnas machines brought over from the US. You will be able to find the machine you are looking at on here: http://www.eagnas.com/

Just email me and I can help you with a really good place to get a machine. I will also post that Pro No1 on thursday for you to demo.

I just got a used Exthree EX-606 drop weight machine for around £100. Just comparing prices.

PS did you send the string 2day?

Heya Nick,

More a curiousity at this point as I don't think I break enough to make it worthwhile. I'm costing it all out though so would defo be interested in how much these things can be obtained for. I might take the plunge in the new year if enough people I know need stringing. I'll send you a mail now

I haven't heard great things about Eagnas though I have to say, have they got a proper distributor etc...over here? I'm thinking that customer service might improve if you deal with the distributor and let them deal with the headaches.

Its a dropweight so its nothing like Nicks. Or is that the one you'll soon be getting

Yeah that's where I saw it. They are double the price you pay for them from Eagnas in the US though.

That maybe be true, but you have to i) get them sent over, ii) possibly pay import duty & VAT, iii) possibly pay to have the power supply either changed or altered, and iv) when things go wrong with the machine who are you going to get to fix/service it??

The last point is also a consideration even if you buy that machine from here in the UK. OK, it has a 1 yr guarantee, but what happens after that year. The main UK stringing machine servicing company won't service import machines (of machines of the like) due to the unavailability of replacement parts or the lack of consistent quality of the said parts.

Like I said, "It's a nice looking machine......."
