I'm planning on buying a machine that has no mount at all.
What does that mean?
Would you tell us the model number?
Eagnas has a bad reputation, but lately I've seen a lot of good things about them. Keep on searching on these forums, under the Stringing Machines section, and you'll see a lot of info about them as well.
And good luck with your stringing!

Wrong forum dude. "No mount at all"? Are you talking about a *stand*? A mounting system would prove to be very helpful in the stringing process ;-) Anyway, you'll get better response in the correct forum.

A lot of my friends and myself have Eagnas machines. They are priced low and work fine for our purposes. Look for models that are on sale, usually around $500 for floor standing models. The new machines seem to come with good clamps that mine didn't have when I bought 9 years ago. They are like a two person distributorship in the U.S., so service may be slow if you are not in the Los Angeles area.
