Chair Umpires can challenge calls?

What are the rules about this? Chair umpire challenged a line judges call using the "Official Review". Interesting, that this does not happen more often.

I'm glad this happened since I have been curious about whether or not the referee has the right to call for a replay with no challenge by a player. I think it should be done a lot more often. It's ok to give players a set number of challenges, but I still believe that the referee should be able to view a replay in case of an extremely close call when the affected player has run out of challenges.

^ Yes, that's how I understood the circumstance, as well.

I still think that ShotSpot/HawkEye is nothing more than a slick marketing tool, though.
