Chance of a Djokovic withdrawal

Obviously very remote but given his what appears narcissistic behaviour in past 9 months or so and his quest to be GOAT and have records, if his oblique is bothering him in practice on Saturday, and if he truly has a grade 1 tear it may still be troublesome, given who he is facing, i.e a hardcourt specialist on a 20 match unbeaten run wjo has won 3 of the last 4 matches with Djokovic, is there a slight chance Djokovic would withdraw on Sunday to preserve is unbeaten finals record?
Unlikely as i say but then recently Djokovic does keep doing weird things.

Djoker is injured. He is wrapped in bandages and facing the red hot Medvedev.

But he is a warrior and will tough it out. Because this is what champions do.

He ain't no Federer who withdraws in important Finals and lets fans who paid tickets down....only to play 5 days later with no issues.

I really hope he doesn’t withdraw, he must lose to Medvedev and become 8-1 in AO finals and then in the next years 8-2, 8-3, 8-4 with 40-0 missed match points in there. It’s the only way he and his fans will become modest and respectful. (y)

I don't think it's possible to win 17 grand slams with that mindset, so no.

Some people have a club player mindset, and others have a mindset needed to win slams.

Djoker’s lingering minor injury and the the extra day of rest should even out to make this a fair fight. I would take Djoker but Med has the look in his eye.

Have you learnt nothing from previous installments of the Novak Act? Hope for a tough final, that would be a start.

Djokovic fans are whining i have made a few threads for the final. They have forgot they were making double the amount before FO final.

And the best bit is..a Djokovic win makes FO 2020 more significant and extra sweet as it would have been 19-19. So if you had a crystal ball and said Djokovic will not win a Major again i would love him to win on Sunday. Would make FO 2020 doubly sweet.

The other classic duplicity of them is they always go on about h2h v Nadal on HC. Medvedev has won 3 of last 4 meetings v Djokovic so by their logic we may as well hand the trophy to Medvedev. The irony is delicious.

You post far more than anyone until djokovic loses then you disappear. Why are you triggered? I get the world is a soft place full of snowflakes but getting offended because people are suggesting Djokovic may lose is taking it to a whole new level.
I am afraid only spammers are Djokovic fans who keep saying what of this what if that. Please just analyse the what has happened or make your case for Djokovic on Sunday.

No chance whatsoever, but hopefully he doesn't strain himself in the final. So if it comes to Medvedev being the better player, but Novak being able to beat him by putting in a supreme effort, I would rather Novak not go there and accept the loss for the bigger picture.

At this point in his career, with his age and being so close to the record, he needs to focus on preserving himself and tightening up the areas of his game that could make winning matches faster, easier and overall more routine and less straining. Love or hate him, Federer has enjoyed such great success in his 30s because he sharpened up the areas in his game that needed work (backhand, volleys, serve) and enabled him to win matches with less effort so he could save his energy for finals. I hope Novak takes a leaf from his book and does the same.

I actually don’t post that much (rarely any threads, mostly some comments) and never disappear. you posted like 10 threads ina few hours, just trying to troll.

Then lets see yours about Nadal and Federer. How many times have you mentioned 40-15 for example.

And you lied. I posted 4 threads. One was asking about average groundstroke speeds. Is that somehow offensive? Is there some anti Djokovic comment there?

I rarely mention 40-15. in fact I have many times ”defended” Federer here, even against his own fans, over the 40-15 incident. Are you confusing me with someone else or do you just spew random personal attacks?

Honestly you are far too sensitive if you find a conversation on a tennis forum a personal attack.
40-15 is continually mentioned on here by Djokovic fans. Granted after FO 2020 the frequency has diminished but the irony of Djokovic fans complaining about threads bigging up Medvedev is very funny.
