Cheaper alternative to Lux 4g Rough?

I've been using Pro Line II on Yonex Ai 100 10.2oz for past year. Loved string (powerful, plush/soft, ball pocketing) and getting good results from it but doesn't last me very long. Have to restring 1.25mm version every 3 matches because control is gone.

Couple weeks ago I demoed the Ai 100 11.2oz and it came with 4g Rough 1.25mm and i like the feel of the strings and think i'm getting better control too. Was very suprised i liked it because i did not like 4g Regular all at when it first came out. Decided to string 4g Rough on my "Lite" racquet and i'm prefering this feel and lowered power/more control trade off and tension maintenance compared to KPLII.

So is there anything similar to 4g rough that doesn't cost 17.99? Pro Line cost me 6 bucks.

Pros Pro sells something they call Spinox, which they claim to be their 4G equivalent. TBH, it does play a lot like it, but YMMV.

^This.

It's also extremely cheap. In the UK , you can get it for under £20 a reel which is around $30.

Without meaning to sound rude, where do they make this claim?
I always struggle to find official information on Pros Pro strings being equivalent to other strings. :)

This is correct AFAIK, I have never seen such claims from Pro's Pro.

However, on Big T's site these claims, or more correctly comparisons, are common. And quite helpful I must say.

Kirschbaum Max Power Rough. I am playing the Max Power in 16G and have tried the 17G. It is a high quaility string on sale at TW right now. Great deal.

I second that. MP is very similar and for only $7.50 a set. And it will last longer before going dead. Great string

Max Power would be a good alternative.

I'm not sure that Spinox is that similar other than being stiff and a similar color.
