This guy is good.
Has improved his serve. Has improved his fh dramatically. He used to have a tomic/mannarino fh but now he takes solid cuts on every fh.
That’s post nadal generations big problem, few have top tier fhs. Nearly all have bhs better than fhs on absolute levels. Or mid level fhs which don’t cut it against the best.
coric, zverev, Chung, tiafoe are good examples. Coming up all of them have bhs that are on absolute levels better than their fhs. Which means their bhs are more useful for winning points than their fhs. 3/4 are athletically gifted but still struggling for big wins at late ages compared to previous gs winners.
Wilander made this observation first. That it’s very difficult to win slams when your bh is your best shot. The post nadal generation sums up his observation nicely.
Shapo, kyrgios, Felix, Chung and Minotaur. IMO One of these guys will win a slam first other than usual suspects.
