Who has come out on top in this period between Fed and Nadal?

Equal. Age gives the brownie points to Fed as the tie breaker so he wins.

Also Fed I think has lost out more due to injury during this period (that includes entire seasons where he played with injury like 2013). Nadal's knees have been completely healed since about 2011 or so.

Nadal had his bad stretch a well.. 2014-2015 isn't it? So, as I said, it's very equal in wins, losses and injuries. And for just being older and yet being the champion he ever has been, fed gets the tie breaker.

Nadal wasn't injured in 2014-2015, only out of form and lacking confidence .

So in theory, Nadal has been the better player in general over that 7-8 year stretch, right?

Ok, but that's not taking into consideration, in that period, Nadal had his 2nd (2010), 3rd (2013) and 4th (2017) best seasons during that time.
Whereas Federer's best 4 seasons were prior to 2010!

of course.

in fact, FEderer's 5 best seasons were prior to 2010 (04-07, and 09)
