I have played the C10PT for quite a while, but purchased a DNX mid out of curiosity and to see if there would be a racquet in production to replace my C10PTs when they died or broke.
I had two C10PTs and one DNX 10 mid set up exactly the same. The C10PTs weighed 350g and 357g and were 5 and 5.5 pts Head Light respectively. The DNX weighed 352g and was 8 pts Head Light. The set up is 17g gut with 17g synthetic crosses, plus those give-away black and blue Head over grips I put on once when they were the only ones I had on hand (aside from being ugly, they work OK). No string dampener. No lead -- strictly off the shelf/stock.
After a couple weeks of trying the DNX I find it so similar to the C10PTs that I can change back and forth during a match without a hitch. The DNX feels just a tiny bit different on contact during ground strokes and feels a pinch heavier when serving, but these differences are so slight another person might not notice them.
These racquets deliver control, touch and spin easily, but the power comes from the weight. If you want a C10PT, but cannot find one, try the DNX mid. I thought the DNX 10 mid had a lot more feel that the prior Volkl 10 series mid size racquets.
Have any other C10PT players tried the DNX (all 10 of you)? What was your comparison?
