demo credits towards a new racquet

Recently I've been doing a lot of demo-ing racquets and spent a lot of money doing so. I would like to know if you guys will take the money I've spent on the demos, and put that towards a new racquet that I'd like to purchase. I think I already spent about $100.00 dollars worth of demo-ing racquet. A new racquet can cost a lot of money. I would like to take that $100.00 and applied towards a new racquet. Please let me know if you guys would do that for me. :)

Sorry, but Tar Heel Tennis is correct. We do not charge for demos, only the shipping. The shipping charges do not go toward the purchase of a racquet.

Spencer, TW.

Often local pro shops will take the demo fees off of your purchase total. Our local one does it for 3 months of demo's, before it resets. However, most local pro shops don't have the huge variety of demos only offered by TW.

agreed; first time i demoed a PSL at my club, it had PHT/Xcel strung at 60 lbs.. the damn thing felt like a board, and turned alot of people off the frame that, later on after trying out my full-Addiction strung PSLs were suddenly very interested in it again.

True, but as stated above, TW doesn't even charge demo fees so it's even better as they are free. Just visit TW's pro shop and pick up your demos in person and return them when you're done - no charge at all. :)

Great idea! I'll just pay $800 to fly on in!

Better than someone paying $800 to fly from CA to your local pro shop in TX AND then STILL have to pay demo fees to your local pro shop to take out a demo racquet, isn't it? It's not the responsibility of TW (nor your local pro shop) to get you to their store. And someone from CA ordering demos from your local pro shop in TX would have to pay BOTH demo fees AND shipping charges, and I doubt they would even be willing to risk shipping their demo racquets all the way out to CA. We're spoiled that TW even has a demo program where they're willing to ship racquets all over the country (and expect them to be returned) and not even charge demo fees.

You aren't paying for the demo....you're paying for the shipping.

Bingo. And its a pittance for the (up to 4) racquets and selection you can demo from. 2 day shipping...its a great setup.

Ive demo'd quite a few as well and have enjoyed the convenience of it. Again, TW doesnt charge for the service, just the shipping. In fact, we all put wear and tear on the racquets we're demoing as well which is a cost that we arent burdened with.

Thanks TW!

i personally think TW has one of the best deals for demoing around...you get your racquets in a few days and you can keep it for 5...shipping is at cost (or even lower)...good selections too!

Even though I think OP went too far, I don't think it is unreasonable to ask for discount after demo, since one of the competitors of TW actually offer 10 percent off from the purchase of a racquet after demoing from them. And they also charge just the 'shipping cost' for demo.
