Diadem Elevate Tour V3

I just demoed the Diadem Elevate Tour V3 and really enjoyed it. I was curious what others thoughts on it were? I am looking to switch rackets and am hoping for a more modern players racket that also is somewhat forgiving. I am also planning on demoing the Solinco Whiteout 18x20 and the Prince Tour 100P. How would those compare and any other recommendations?

I have a regular V3 elevate that is a lot of fun with with in the trap door and a decent amount of lead in the hoop. Hits a very heavy ball. Only downside is that because it creates so much string action it tends to kill poly faster so you (should) expect to restring more often.

I’m playing with the regular V3. It’s a fantastic racquet. Mine are weighted to 313g unstrung. I absolutely love their 16x20 string pattern. Spin, control with some extra pop for a player frame spec. It really does everything pretty well.

I’m loving round 1.25 polys in it now. It’s not overly string sensitive, so you can play about anything in it.

I'm glad to hear the Elevate is well liked! Is it a somewhat forgiving frame where if you hit it off center it still does alright?

The very open 16x20 really kills polys! But you get amazing spin for a players racquet. I played with the v2 for a while but have moved on. I miss hitting the slice serve with it though; you can get the ball to really curve.

I just tried this frame briefly vs. my PS 97 v14. My demo had a poly-syn gut hybrid, vs the gut-poly hybrid I use in my own racquet. That may have colored my perception. But I felt like the PS 97 felt more plush, stable, and powerful but had a bit less control. The Elevate had a lower launch angle and felt a bit more firm and dead. I didn’t measure it, but it felt like the swingweight was lower and it had less plow through. I also tried the Elevate Lite v3 at the same time since I was curious if it is worth recommending to players who want lighter frames. I was actually more impressed with that one. It was a little too light to stand up to heavier hitters on defense, but it let me hit a heavy ball without much effort on offense. It was not underpowered despite being light.

Good. Don't really mind that it kills polys since I have been very successfully not using them for a year now. My wrist thanks me. My elbow thanks me, even after I continue to model my game after Jelena Ostapenko and hit most balls fairly hard.

I have a couple V3s and a V2. One of each has been strung with a Federer/Serena Williams style reverse hybrid, so gut main/poly or sometimes (such sacrilege!) synthetic gut cross. Lots of power, very comfortable, great control. Spin, not so much--have had to change technique a bit and provide my own instead of relying on shaped strings to catch the ball. It's taken some work to get the topspin back on my serves, but I don't mind much since I've missed no time at all from elbow soreness in over a year, and can go through 300 or so practice serves day after day with no discomfort. I've thought about messing with other hybrid combos, or putting a poly on the main, but don't want to mess much with success. I have one other V3 set up with multifibre that I save for wet days or times when we might see rain just to protect the gut in the other two racquets.

I'd be interested in hearing recommendations for other racquets or setups that are similar to give them a try, but both the Diadems have done very well for me so would need a really good recommendation to want to change.
