BS5,Torneo and now the 2 all have that hard leather up front over the toe box.It is a very hard and unforgiving material which cause my big toe to become black overtime and my nail to be destroyed.Only drawback of the shoe but a red line for me.

Great colourway. It looks like they haven’t changed the midsole much, and maybe just streamlined the upper? A reliable update on the previous version. I wish more shoe updates could be done this way.

Leather? Actual leather? Or a hard synthetic?…

That's the problem with shoes! Our feet aren't universally the same so some shoes we can't wear. I can't wear the Torneo, because my lean foot is too narrow for the forefoot, and there's too much movement in the forefoot. The Fly ¾ works better for me.

Wore my OG Torneos for casual Fridays today. Been my casual shoe since September. Well creased and no toe pinching/rubbing:

In this area on the top left side that looks like pointing out where it flexes is where my bs5 broke, I hope this don't do the same, otherwise one of the best shoes I've had comfort wise

Are you sure about the wide fit version? I emailed the contact address on the Diadora website asking them to confirm the release of the wide version and they don't seem to know anything about it. Perhaps people over at Diadora don't talk to each other but maybe there is no wide version. This is the email I got:

Dear Steve,
thank you for contacting Diadora Customer Service.
Currently, our tennis shoes are classified as having a standard width, and the only sport active shoe we offer in a wide fit is the MYTHOS BLUSHIELD 8 VORTICE WIDE, which is a running shoe model. Unfortunately, we do not have a wide version specifically designed for the Blueshield Torneo Tennis shoe at this time.

For the most up-to-date information on new arrivals and product releases, we highly recommend subscribing to our newsletter. By subscribing, you will receive regular updates about our latest offerings, including any potential future releases or expansions of our wide-fit shoe range.

We remain at your complete disposal for any further information or assistance you may require.

Best regards,
Kristo

I got my Torneo 2 Wides yesterday!

WOW! Way roomier than the original Torneos! Definitely roomier than my Asics Gel Resolution 9 Wides!

I haven't had a chance to wear them out yet. But walking around the house, the factory insoles are definitely much cushier than the original Torneos. I removed them to install my orthotics and took some pics to compare them to the 1st gen Torneo insoles. They are both the same size when placing them over the other.

Left: Torneo
Right: Torneo 2 Wide (notice the soft foam inserts)
