Did Fed win most of his slams prior to Nadal?

Nadals first FO win was in 2005. It took him till at least 2008 to learn how to play on grass and even longer to play on hard….he was labeled as a clay court specialist .

so how many slams did Federer win prior to Nadal being on the tour/ being a clay court specialist .

I have it counted at 13 ?Prior to that Feds biggest rival was Roddick and yet he still could not win the FO.

it would be interesting to note that after 2008 Nadal had To also deal with joker and Murray …….It seems to me that Nadals 22 slams was Against much tougher competition than Fed has .

Fed has at least 5 years of no Nadal, joker or Murray …….once they all came into their own Fed won slams at a much lower rate.

Nadal knew how to play on grass before 2008 lol. It is also normal for younger players to push out the older players. If I need to explain why then this conversation is a waste of my time.

Nadal might've been labeled as a "Clay Court specialist", but that was always BS. He could always play on all surfaces. He won 2 M 1000s on Hard courts during his breakout season of 2005 (Canada and Madrid), beat PEAK level Fed in 2006 on Hard courts in one of Fed's best tournaments (Dubai), and ended up winning Indian Wells (2007), Canada again (2008) and Olympics on Hard courts in Beijing (2008)...all before he supposedly "learned how to play on Hard courts"

As for grass, for someone who didn't magically "learn how to play on grass" until 2008, he got to 2 successive Wimby Finals in 2006 and 2007, taking Fed to 5 sets in 2007. His first GS appearance was actually at Wimby in 2003, and he almost made it to the 4th round (he was coming into met like crazy in his 3rd round match)

The point is that Nadal has always been able to play and win on every surface. The stupid tennis media just pretended he couldn't, because of how dominant he was on clay

It sure is. It's amazing that tennis did not produce a single ATG for two and now possibly three generations since Djokodal.

Dude just celebrate the accomplishment of Rafa. There is no need to validate his greatness by trying to punch holes in Fed’s record.

Federer won 4 slams before Nadal won his first and became became #2.

So no.

wothout Nadal being on tour yes …..but I added in until he won his first grandslam on a non clay surface …….Don’t forget that it was you guys who labeled him as a “clay court specialist” and declared that he could not win on anything but clay ( you were wrong then and you are wrong now )

so clearly a clay court specialist is no competition for the “goat” Roger Federer on a no clay surface right ?

so the clay court specialist years I added in which brings Feds grand slam wins to 13 during that time.

Logic .

Won 4 slams before Nadal win one and was #2 in the world. Not sure what all this nonsense is.

Then why did you degrade him by calling him a clay court specialist ? That he would never amount to anything other than on clay ?

you can’t have it both ways …..but that’s precisely what you want .

What are you talking about? I never said any such thing. Some Fed fans might have said that but I certainly didn't. You would be best to avoid making stereotypes so you don't look so silly next time.
