Difficult run to 1st USO title/Final at 19...Serena and Leylah Fernandez

Leylah has been having an amazing run to her 1st USO Final beating so many top players...
her run: Konjuh, Kanepi, Osaka, Kerber, Svitolina, Sakkari so far.

So did Serena...she beat Clijsters, Seles, Davenport, and Hingis to win her first USO at 19 years old (1999)

Yeah. But I am looking at the 18 year old lowly (ranked) Raducanu in the other semifinal and ..... can't say the same. Emma, unlike Leylah, is having so much easier time winning all her sets from the qualies to the semi (inclusive) in straight sets decisively. She just got her first set 6:1 no pro. I really really want to see those two in the final

For those saying Serena was younger, had it tougher or her opponents proved to be better etc are missing the point. Serena is one of the most successful players ever. Nobody is saying that Leylah is better than Serena. Just pointing out there's any resemblance is astonishing, exciting and hopeful. That's all there is so far.
