Djokovic to Sergio Tacchini

No comparison, man. Now, the Dallas crew and polo are decent, but yeah, most of the new stuff can't hold a candle to the Pat Cash/Wilander lines from 20 yrs ago.

Just weak fabrication....craftsmanship is an afterthought.

Hey, wait a minute. Storm likes classic Tacchini but he also rocks the garish neon Agassi Nike stuff. That's beautiful.

The classic Tacchini stuff is smooth. I sport the short shorts with the spandex a la Sampras. It's the pinnacle of tennis style IMO.

The Agassi gear is hot but it's borderline gag. I still sport it on the court though. I think I wore it for Halloween too. It pulls double duty.

But that's what ALL the performance tennis clothes are made of today. Have you seen some of the Nike stuff from the past few years? They look like they cost less than $1 to make and some are really thin with crappy fabrics and terrible fits.

I own the Nike stuff. There's no comparison. When I received my Tacchini stuff, it looked and felt so cheap that I never once even considered wearing it on court. I think I gave it to Goodwill. This gear was from 2006--the stuff Robredo wore (blue and some lime green, there were stripes). Maybe the quality has improved but the stuff I got was garbage, and I'm a huge Tacchini fan.

Nike, like all athletic wear companies, uses polyester but in a much better way in my opinion, at least in terms of fabrication quality. Style is more subjective.

Actually, for me, I could see Federer in the classic Borg Fila "Bj" polo shirts as they were also tight fitting like his Nike polo shirts are today and also because Fila is so classic with a great tennis heritage and tradition, just like Federer himself. Besides, Federer has always reminded me of Borg - stoic on the court, showing very little emotion on court, never seems to sweat, moves like a ballet dancer, both are European, wears a headband, speaks English with an accent, never gives up on a ball, is all business when playing tennis, and was a racquet tossing brat as a kid. :)

I can see it. Very 'fitting'.

I really like FILA. I even like the Thomas Reynolds stuff.

Great points Breakpoint and Slice BH Compliment. I could definitely see Sampras or federer in Fila. I wish Fila would go back to better materials and perhaps slightly higher prices to justify a return to material quality (combed cotton!).

Sampras' demeanor was somewhat like Borg's and he would have been great for Fila. They were both very quiet, yet so agile/athletic. They both only let their "racquets do the talking", and like Federer as well, all three seem utterly "imperious" on the Court with that "I'm way better than you" swagger in a understated way (not much fist pumping from Sampras and absolutely zero from the "Ice Man").

I've just found Nole earnings including Sergio Tacchini for next year.
Sponsors:
Sergio Tacchini- 2,5 mill. euros = 3,7 mill. $
Head - 2 mill. euros= 3 mill. $, more than Roger from Wilson ( 2 mill. $)
other- 1 mill. euros - 1,5 mill. $

Happy?:):):)

You'd be wrong. Wawrinka left Adidas for a better deal with Lacoste clothing and still wears Adidas shoes. If he wants them Adidas will still gladly supply Novak with Adidas shoes. Adidas, Nike, etc are more interested selling shoes than clothes anyway which is why you see former Nike contract pros switching to another clothing brand and still wearing Nike shoes and why former Adidas contract pros are now wearing different clothes but still wearing Adidas shoes.

Good point....i guess he'll still wear Genius' then. The new ones just won't have the Falcon on them im guessing since they lost Djoker. Guess that also leads to the reason they let Andy Murray try them at USO 09' and Djokovic wasn't seen as far as we all know trying them out.

Sergio Tacchine is quite expensive in Ireland. Never seen a polo cheaper than 50 EUR and that is expensive for many of us, never mind the quality!

I think it is good he is leaving Adidas, it is nicer to see smaller companies in the tennis market rather than the same two companies dominating.
